Joe has picked a good balance of oddities, rarities and made unexpected reinterpretations of big tunes. It eschews the easy path of an orchestral Best Of, giving Joe the freedom to select the songs that he feels work best with the addition of orchestration and a choir and allowing his ear and love of the band to combine to create magic. James has taken an experimental approach and enlisted fellow Mancunian Joe Duddell to choose and arrange their songs, resulting in a unique and stunning collection of tracks that showcase James’ career in a fresh and exciting way. New single Love Make A Fool is a euphoric song which has a tribal, almost mantra-like feel to the lyrics which echoes Tim’s description of it being “a simple prayer to be possessed by the ecstatic universal aspect of love”.I read thatthe new song on the album, `Love Make A Fool` is a simple prayer to be possessed by the ecstatic universal aspect of love, which is what it is, a dreamy but fairly captivating listen. Despite it being 30 years old it sounds as fresh and as current as anything the band have done recently. A sly smile appeared on my face a few times listening to this, tapping into memories that I’m pleased to have made. I always felt there was a sense of optimism on the originalof `Tomorrow` and in this reworking it becomes a beacon of hope. In March of 1997, 26 years ago, U2 released their much anticipated ninth studio album POP; for fans and critics alike, it quickly became their most polarizing release.

The album also features the ORCA 22 Orchestra led by Andra Vornici and the Manchester Inspirational Voices Choir, directed by Wayne Ellington.Be Opened By The Wonderful is a perfect capture of the evolution of a project that might well have had a different tracklisting and arrangements had it been recorded after the recent tour which saw over a dozen more songs performed. I pretend that I know where I’m going/I pretend I know where I came from/Or the fear will engulf me completely/I chose to waltz this bridge of sighs”, emotes Booth as he tells us a tale of lacking self-awareness and being lost in a big and ever increasingly complex world. Rob Johnson of Total Ntertainment felt that the album "defies definition" and "acts as a sonic compendium of the band's entire career", also commenting that "for a band celebrating their 40th anniversary, it is striking how relevant they still sound". James have really excelled themselves, orchestrating a true time capsule of thought-provoking and memory-laden songs. The strings bring a great dimension to the song, creating a feeling like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon.
