I hit the end and groaned out loud when I flipped the last page , having been so invested in that crazy twist I didn't realize it was coming. I kept hoping for a defining character moment for her to step up and show some personal growth and for her to take control of her life but all I got was her stewing over how weak she was and how she couldn't possibly take on a fae.

It made me feel like she was purposefully putting the MC in danger and I didn’t know if I should trust her because the only explanation given for her behavior was that she was naïve. In season 4, Jeannie is pregnant with Marty's child, but he is reluctant to be involved as he has not forgiven her. And it really, really needs an editor, or even just a friend with a slightly better grasp of vocabulary. I am liking this take of faeries, there isn't too much lore in this book and the wolrd building feels a little underdeveloped but you don't really notice this too much because of the fast paced nature of this book.

Where Tucker finds House of Lies ' lines and dialogue poor, Rouch praises Don Cheadle's character's lines: Cheadle's character "often steps out of a freeze-frame to deliver scathing stylized asides to the audience, talking straight to the camera to teach us his lingo and soulless trade secrets".

It's well written, I like the characters, and it was free from the usual filler content that often frustrates me in the fantasy genre. Secondly, you will want to make sure that the house is free of any pests or animals that could potentially cause damage or harm to the property. But ultimately Tucker found House of Lies wanting, writing that it is actually not "all that interesting", and that its "crucial weakness is its dead language". She was founder of MediaWolfOnline newspaper and later became the chairwoman of entire McClintock Media Group after some help from Clyde. Overall I really enjoy this book and can't wait to read more of the story and see how it all unfolds.Describe the world, because it can’t possibly be the same as what Jade was used to on the human side. It "swims in a shark tank of such appalling survival-of-the-nastiest bad behavior it could launch its own channel: Human Animal Planet". I loved Mal he came off as arrogant and careless towards Jade but as the story progressed and I read more from his side I began to understand his initial facade.
