Marcia Williams' is the author/illustrator of several picture books, including the retellings "The Amazing Story of Noah's Ark"; "Jonah and the Whale"; "Joseph and His Magnificent Coat of Many Colours"; "Don Quixote" and "Sinbad the Sailor", as well as her own texts "When I Was Little" and "Not a Worry in the World".Marcia Williams’s brilliant wheeze of depicting classic myths and legends in humorous comic-strip format has introduced to very young readers some of the most famous stories. I really enjoyed teaching this unit and the children were very enthusiastic, producing stories to be proud of. Ranging from Shakespeare to Noah’s Ark and other Bible Stories, to the adventures of Robin Hood, she creates a way it can be accessible for children. In this collection, Marcia Williams offers a fun but faithful retelling of eight myths using simple language and her signature comic-strip format. I gave this book three stars because even though i did enjoy this book I felt as if it was not one of the BEST children's books I have read.
