About this deal

It's faded (more like Feu P*ss Yellow now) but I'm looking forward to inhaling its old-fashioned orange-grovey goodness. Made up of the ten most unforgettable odours from life behind the wheel, the fragrance is designed to give a real ‘lived-in feel’ for classic car lovers who use modern cars for their day-to-day motoring. feu orange times have sadly been and gone- unless some your car has had them in from the 90's then your very lucky to have that scent !

This smell will take any car enthusiast back to the good old days, even if you're driving a 61 plate Ford Focus. I know its an old thread but has anyone found a supplier of the Original Feu Orange air fresheners yet? Named ‘Old Car Smell’, the scent is based on the results of a nationwide social media campaign launched by Channel 4 Car SOS presenter Fuzz Townshend in partnership with the classic vehicle division of insurance brokers Carole Nash.Just listening to 70's music and reading this topic and everything was just taking me back to those times of being a kid with the scent of the orange filling the car, wearing shorts in summer and burning my legs on the seat.

Now if they were taken off the shelves and replaced by a crappy upstart, I believe riots would begin. I want to get in the car and be reminded of drinking too much fizzy orange pop and throwing up on the way to flamingoland as a kid. My 80's classic is missing this important accessory :-)They are not made any more, the original manufacturer Polco retained the product rights, whereas the brand name was bought out by Kraco, who make the horrible plastic vent versions. If I could find a stash of these beauties I'd snap them up in an instant, that smell is authentic motoring yesteryear. It took me flipping ages to track this little lot down and I will be using them, sparingly, in future projects.

hell, what a shock, no longer available, I didnt realise, tells you when I last walked into a Halfrauds! Well I've been looking for years and my local motor factor said that the old skool style one was not made any more because, and I nearly choked on my tongue when I heard this, the pin could cause injuries to users. No they are no longer made, many people on retrorides were looking them and contacted the company that makes them. So the brand belongs to Kraco, the product belongs to Polco and believe me it would seem the twain shall never meet. While the smells of engine oil and petrol proved to be popular, the sickly scents of 1980s air fresheners have a lasting place in the nation’s hearts.

like the rest of you I have looked time and time again in Halfords for the ORIGINAL type with goldie looking chain attached can I find one. The scent of old leather was found to be the most enduring aroma and was mentioned by nearly half (49%) of participants, who reminisced about 'burnt legs on hot seats' caused by 'weekend runs to the coast in the summer'. Having had a certain brand of modern liquid car air freshener that leaked and melted an airvent and damaged the radio surround, never again will I go near one of them. I think he means the new 'ghey' type ones, and I have 1 new (proper type we are raving on about) one put it in let the smell go round the car- doesnt last as long as it used to which I pressumed being 20 years old or summat!thats a good advert for scrapyards to take to the eviron-morons- don't get rid of them, they smell like orange groves!
