The main cast and crew talk about the inspirations of Elvis and how the King's style was brought to the big screen. In fact, to further back that up, from the PC side of things I was able to tell that the file for the film is using 60. If you’re an Elvis fan, this is one of his better, more entertaining shows and makes a great entry on 4K - Recommended . But Elvis and Luhrmann seem a perfect match and the film, assuming you can plug into the Australian director’s overwhelming style, is an exuberant, theatrical and overtly stylistic take on one of music’s most iconic figures. But with its long run time and constant flashy sequences, the film can inch away from the story at hand.

As the King gyrates, vibrates, and swoops his cape on stage, we cut to shots in Tupelo as a young Elvis sneaks peeks into the local juke joints at patrons gyrating against one another while Big Mama Thornton belts out her hit “Hound Dog.This unique and dazzling tale of the King of Rock N' Roll looks and sounds wonderful, but the long run time and the uneven pace keep it from hitting its target. Let’s face it, this film offers up one absolutely captivating visual presentation many thanks to the cinematography by the DP (director of photography) Mandy Walker. Elvis" lenses made from special glass that produced an image both slightly less sharp and with more aberration than traditional ones.

Even if you’re not a fan of The King, you know the man isn’t one to sit still while he sings, and yet, he’s shimmying and shaking away… but in a car.
