About this deal

We’ve always wanted to find a way to bring the Rebel Dining Society experience to a wider audience and think that with Death by Burrito we’ve cracked it. Like Cornish pasties for warmer climes, a way to keep your meat and two safe as you sweat away the day – and often heir to the same culinary ills. If burritos and imaginative cocktails fill you with joy, a trip to Hoxton might be a very good idea. The burrito as we know it is actually Californian-Mexican, invented in San Francisco, and almost all London versions are carb-fest roll-ups — a swollen mass of mostly beans and rice, with a speckling of meat. She sprinkles it into most things she cooks, while her husband is so enamoured of it that he coats his crisps in the stuff.

Braised pig cheek and crackling, beef rib and Baja fish and slaw all stand out from the heavily salted, stodge of this reviewer’s burrito past.The complex flavour of Jose Cuervo Tradicional (tequila) has given us infinite flavour pairing combinations to play with.
