That has a similar woody-peppery base (although there it’s white pepper which is even more pleasant imo). As a self confessed snob, this perfume humbled me because I used to believe that you can't find anything cheap that is good! Instinct was a solid scent that veered on the traditional rather than sporty aquatic which is what you would have bet your house on. and the ginger usually is going together with citrus but this perfume made me believed that the ginger blended with wood as a dominant ingredient, is a very nice masculine recipe.

David Beckham Homme hits the shelves in September 2011, as 30 and 50 ml EDT, along with accompanying body care products. It opens with a blast of citrus (I'd guess grapefruit and lemon peel) and fresh ginger, followed quickly by Szechuan pepper and something herbal and aromatic (I suppose it could interpreted as rosemary or pine), before transitioning into a smooth woody amber finish, with a fractionated, scrubbed clean patchouli and suede-ish, skin musk accord. Adventure is more complex, and has a slightly more bitter opening and some of the more challenging facets of vetiver. We went through the "expensive" perfume aisle in Ulta and to be honest I like this one more than the ones I smelled there. Nothing against Beckham, In fact as a die hard Manchester United fan I've nothing but respect for the guy.

The best David Beckham frag I have is the first, Instinct, and I can produce a satisfactory performance with 20+ sprays with that one. has a late 80's and early ninties vibe but a little modernised with the top notes of the scent after the first 30 mins i beguin to think, no actually i beguin to know i have smelt the exact same scent elsewhere.

But it is pleasant and I would definitely recommend for someone who has a small budget looking for a versatile signature scent.

As it transitions to the heart, a leather accord emerges, boosted by cashmeran and accented with rosemary. Smelling Beckham Homme next to either of the Amouage's, you can smell the difference in budget, but it's not as extreme as you'd think given the cost difference of the final products. Women go crazy over Beckham scents, and as soon as you mention his name as the cologne they get even wilder.

Everything about it just seemed cheap and so I was expecting a harsh, synthetic, standard mens cologne. It's spicy and the amber note fits perfectly as a base that also seem to come through in the opening. All of the scents are full bodied and masculine, with a strong and smooth woodiness, subtle and well integrated sweetness, and momentary but excellent citrus openings.

The fragrance, entitled David Beckham Homme, would join existing scents David Beckham Instinct (2005) and Intimately Beckham (2006), a his-and-hers collection with his wife Victoria Beckham. I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality and refinement found here, and will enjoy wearing this tonight.

It would've been one of my favorites and I would've recommended it if it actually performed decently well. Projection/Sillage: DECENT, not bold and loud but not quite either (the syntheticness of this frag actually allows it to get noticed), good 'scent bubble' for about 1-2 hours then turn to a more in-close scent the more it dries.
