About this deal

I believe the reason we don't get Britney perfumes in the USA for over 2 years now is because Revlon bought out Elizabeth Arden.

It reminds me of one of my Indian suits in this exact colour, loving the dark Cerise and the gold little embellishments which gives it the 'Eastern' feel. As it starts to dry down you notice the florals coming to play, I'm not really a fan of florals, but they are not overpowering. As a person who has worn Fantasy since my teens, I can pick up the little changes, it has slightly amplified base notes to it, most likely due to the pachouli. At first spray I can smell the original Midnight Fantasy (but a little bit lighter), due to the plum and sour cherry.I spray it on my arm, the first thing that comes to greet me is citrusy note, kind of fresh and clean, evaporates quickly. I got today this perfume I was very happy, is very similar to the original the new one, ( I have both) I think If you have one don’t need the other one, smell very similar, I can’t smell any wood, any pachuli, maybe a little bit more sweet but that’s it, after a moment smell just the same.

A couple of years later I really wanted them back but I found out they were reformulated due to the new IFRA rules.

She has no control or say, all these rapid releases over past few years are just her name being used. I do enjoy Island Fantasy a lot for Summer and will layer these two but it is quite " festive" on it's own. Having the reformulation of the og which is kinda screechy due to the quince, kiwi and litchee taking center stage this version is much smoother adding syrupy pear. The longevity of this scent is good though, I sprayed some on my pillows before I went to sleep, and I could still smell it when I woke up in the morning. I don't like to follow trends and even most of the fraghead communities that are tainted with snobbery and 'the new emperor clothes' effect.

They did a great job making this a more grown up version of the original Fantasy while still pleasing the fans of the original and still keeping it youthful. Cotton candy is Rainbow Fantasy's most dominant note, however, its scent is soft and feminine rather than sugary and headache-inducing. I can't detect the patchouli, I personally suspect that it's there to balance; to give Fantasy a more in depth mature feel.I am disappointed because I was expecting a significant patchouli twist (which could have been cool imo) -- not the case! I do recommend testing Rainbow Fantasy, even if you have found her last few fragrances a little uninspiring.

I was getting excited that this may have more of the warm cupcake/white chocolate feel as the original early formulation did but alas, it didn’t. Britney Spears’ first perfume Curious, was created by Claude Dir (also the nose behind Curious Heart and Curious In Control) by Coty in 2004. Normally strangers never compliment me on my perfume…but the young cashier girl at Michael’s told me, as I was checking out, that “This might sound weird, but you smell really good! The cupcake and white chocolate notes have been slightly increased as well, however the Kiwi still remains superior in this perfume. I have close to 160 fragrances and can’t ever decide what to wear each day let alone something repeated.I would love it to smell like the notes listed, more cherry plum with sugar, and flowers in background.
