About this deal

The point that so many creators and fans bring up about how Bruce Wayne should be in Arkham along with all of the villains, I don’t necessarily disagree with that.

Dark and gritty Batman” is such aThe series is set in an Alternate Continuity where Bruce Wayne has been active as Batman for around three years. Batman: The Imposter is an American comic book published by DC Comics under its Black Label imprint.

Bruce Wayne’s mission as the Batman has only been underway for a year or so, but he can tell he’s making a difference in this city. If I put Two-Face or the Joker or whoever in this book, it’s going to be compared to all those other stories where what I’m really interested in is the psychology of Bruce Wayne…so for me, it just kind of felt like I can earn some street cred here, by not just going to the big star, the big story. There is a hint of copaganda bs with some subtle social commentary about defund the police which made me laugh and kind of took me out of it, but otherwise stellar. Batman might never be a 100 percent realistic character, but in trying to imagine the most grounded version of the character they could while also delivering the superhero goods, the creative team talked a lot about what the story's action would look like. I think that one of the great things about Batman is that sometimes he is right about when to pummel and sometimes he’s not.

Bruce dresses up as Batman, and realizes that the majority of the victims were sentenced by the same judge name Alex McCard.

Bruce Wayne’s mission as the Batman has only been under way for a year or so, but he can tell he’s making a difference. Reviewing Batman: The Imposter, Dustin Holland of Comic Book Resources described the life-like version of Batman featured in the series as "a refreshingly vulnerable vision of the Dark Knight". In the proud tradition of other more grounded Batman stories, Tomlin's version of the Caped Crusader also has an opposite number working in Gotham City law enforcement, but this time it's not his old pal Jim Gordon.

Alan Mooreand Frank Millertook the character’s troubled youth and turned it into decades of violent, gothic storytelling. Also, James Gordon is no longer a policeman due to his alliance with the Batman, tying to an old case that plays a huge part in the story. In the gallery below, you can get a closer look at what that action looks like, as Batman's quiet night in Gotham explodes into action with a chase through the city streets. This story is about Imposter Batman which is a cool idea but what this story lacked was a sense of mystery. Alfred Pennyworth is traditionally depicted as being Bruce Wayne's surrogate father, mentor, butler, and closest confidant all rolled into one, usually unwavering in his support for 'Master Bruce' and his crusade. It just creates all of these complications for him that to me really felt like, 'Man, that's going to be tough for Batman to get out of. Thompkins' ability to push back against Bruce Wayne and his ambition to save his city by dressing as a giant bat is reflective of the sense of realism that Tomlin, Sorrentino and company tried to infuse into the book.
