About this deal

The uniqueness of BabyDam is that it grows with baby, as baby’s size increases you can position BabyDam further back in the bath providing them with the additional space that they need. Built in the mid-18th century, both time and the destructive American signal crayfish had taken their toll and the dams required expert attention to make them fit for the 21st century. Once your child is able to sit up, the bath can be filled to a higher depth by fitting one of the plugs supplied into the safety porthole.

Keeping in line with the Governments Environment Plan to reduce domestic water usage, the BabyDam Bathwater Barrier is a must for today’s environmentally conscious family. Our small-group adventures are inspired by our Atlas of the world's most fascinating places, the stories behind them, and the people who bring them to life.Yet whilst modern thinking and advancement in engineering is central to the restoration of the dam, the project team has ensured that visually, the new design is in keeping with its 18th-century origins. Set in a sweeping valley above Bath, visitors can enjoy magnificent views and are a stone's throw away from the Bath Skyline - a six-mile circular route encompassing beautiful woodlands and meadows, an Iron Age hill fort, Roman settlements, 18th-century follies and spectacular views. The project involved deconstructing the middle dam and adding a new clay core faced with stone, as well as maintaining the existing section of upstream face wall and building a new wall where there were gaps.

One of only four Palladian bridges of this design in the world can be crossed at Prior Park, which was created in the 18th century by local entrepreneur Ralph Allen, with advice from 'Capability' Brown and the poet Alexander Pope.Much of the work on the middle lake focussed on protecting the dam and its banks from these unwanted guests. From our Award winning bathwater barrier to our bath seats and hooded towels, discover everything you need to create a soothing and engaging bathing experience.

At this young age you don’t want to be bathing baby for longer than 10 minutes anyway as they get cold very quickly. It is the only baby bath that grows with your baby, it can be moved up the bath and positioned as they grow accordingly. While time has impacted the lakes’ condition, some pesky intruders have also caused significant damage: the American signal crayfish.Stabilising the east bank created a more authentic sweeping lawn down to the water’s edge and opens up more of the garden to visitors. Brought this instead of a baby bath, thought it would last abit longer, should have not bothered really. I even got in the bath with her the other side of the baby dam and didn’t get myself wet whilst bathing her. Over the coming months we'll plant nearly 4,000 trees, shrubs and ferns to populate the new shrubberies created as part of the dams project. The main construction work was completed at the end of spring 2022 when the lakes were refilled and the paths were opened around the lakes once again.

Built in the mid-1700s, both time and the destructive American signal crayfish had taken their toll on these structures and the dams were in need of major and expert attention. You may want to read Meta’s Instagram cookie policy , external and privacy policy , external before accepting. You can also catch the red City Sightseeing bus (Skyline route) from various locations in the city centre: Manvers St, Terrace Walk, North Parade and Great Pulteney St. If they’re feeling more confident in the water and you feel they would benefit from a larger area then that’s the time to graduate them to full family bath status.
