As construction industry professionals we developed the BBS to provide a "works every time" solution to the problem that's being discussed, having experienced it first hand - many times. We tried gluing on nuts, fiddling with spire clips and tapping out the bottom of boxes, and whilst some of these worked sometimes, we believed there must be a better way so set about devising one. BackBox is here to reliably automate that operational work so you have confidence in the outcomes and can focus on more forward-looking projects. While full setting may take 60 minutes, it is well past the stage at which it can be worked after 15 minutes or so.

Until now the only proper solution was to suffer the time and expense of re-installing the back box. When asked about future plans for the product the innovator responded that a secondary use for the Box Saver has already been discovered and is in the development stages.A pair of Back Box Savers, installed on each of the two back box lugs, allow the faceplate to be raised, lowered or tilted by plus or minus 5mm. However, if mixed and molded behind and over the "lug" in which the thread has been stripped, it can be "tapped" while still soft by the use of the screw to be used. The second is that they're made currently in relatively small quantities, and patents and design registration are expensive! A pair of Back Box Savers for faceplate raise, tilt or lower saves the installer the time and trouble of replacing the back box. The current solution — replacing the back box just because of a stripped lug — is time-consuming and costly, especially if the wall is re-decorated.
