I mean, I'm not the audience they were written for so many that's part of it, but I'd like to think that I'm still very much a kid at heart and I read a lot of kids' books, so I don't think that's a full explanation. A thoroughly silly but darker little work, it will probably remind Yankee readers more of Shel Silverstein than the aforementioned Seuss.
