The hinge used is easy to manipulate but does come at the cost of not staying in place if there’s a lot of vibration or motion happening while it’s extended. There are a couple of notches that keep it in place in the closed position. SnapPod As you tell by its stars rating in this review, there's little I don't like about the ShiftCam ProGrip. One criticism I have is being unable to store both the ShiftCam ProGrip and iPhone in the included case. Because the accessory works with different-sized smartphones, this limitation makes sense from an engineering perspective, although it's still a disappointment.
If your phone doesn’t support wireless charging, you can use the built-in USB-C port to charge your phone by cable. The ProGrip can even be stood on end to double as a charging cradle while it does this. Shiftcam does recommend using the ProLens lineup in combination with the mobile app Filmic Pro or the desktop software Adobe Premier or Final Cut Pro for the best results. One of the best features of Shiftcam’s products is the price. Their lenses, cases, and grip are all reasonably priced to suit the mobile creator on a budget, without sacrificing quality. The lenses can either be bought individually or in bundles as listed above which means you really only have to spend money on the lenses you're going to find useful. The lens mount adapter sits snuggly under most phone cases so you don't need to invest in an additional case if you don't want to (although ShiftCam does make quite a smart-looking case if you did want to buy one). The lenses can also be used alongside ShiftCam's latest product, the Pro Grip which adds a grip to your phone that makes it feel more like a DSLR. The biggest problem mobile photographers have faced for a long time is that the powerful, and very capable cameras in their phones are not always the easiest to hold and use. ShiftCam wanted to create a grip that would make that problem cease to exist. I have to say, the ShiftCam ProGrip does a mighty fine job of making your phone handle like a DSLR. It comes into its own in low-light settings where you might normally introduce camera-shake. The M31 doesn’t have the best of cameras and has no optical stabilisation, so taking indoor shots like this in poor light would normally be a recipe for blur, but it’s much easier to keep your hand steady with the ProGrip.

The detail and sharpness of the areas in focus are really impressive while the out-of-focus areas with bokeh is smooth and silky. With a single press, you can take a photo; with a longer press, begin capturing video. Setting up the shutter takes less than 30 seconds and requires simply using the iPhone's Bluetooth tool.These lenses are lightweight and easy to transport. Depending on which ProLens you choose, it will weigh between 33 and 80 grams. They’re made from high-quality aluminum and DSLR-grade glass. The lenses are also nano-coated to ensure a scratch-resistant surface. The MultiLens includes a Circular Polarizer Lens (CPL) the help eliminate reflections, reduce glare, and up the contrast on your ultrawide shots. The jaws don't just allow the ShiftCam ProGrip to attach to the iPhone; it also has a pivot that allows for an easy switch between horizontal and portrait use. The pivot is a nice touch, although the functionality feels much more natural when in landscape mode. Moments like these are when it would be nice to have Face ID available horizontally on iPhone, but that's an issue only Apple can remedy.
