Series 1 is the only line where all the dolls are grayscale, while the other lines have colorful themes/skin tones. Rexx McQueen is grayscale, but the other Series 2 dolls aren’t. In his artwork, he has a slit on his left eyebrow. However on the doll and on the animated series he doesn't.

Shadow High appears to be a very dark but slightly colored school across the street and almost everyone has a none normal color skin tone, except for Ainsley. Shadow High wants revenge to Rainbow High and planned to take over Rainbow Vision, which is a music competition hosted and always won by Rainbow High. They feel Rainbow High always cheats and that's why they win.Ash, likely being short for Asher, is a Hebrew and Biblical boys' name that has recently been used as a unisex name. Steel is an alloy of carbon and iron that's used in lots of machinery due to its great strength and versatility.
