About this deal

The D-Terminal cable is identical to the component cable other than its connector. It was sold only in Japan and uses the Japanese D-Terminal standard.

Devices like the OSSC will accept RGsB from a PS2, simply by switching the input after 480p mode is selected (or set the OSSC to auto scan the inputs). That’s it, nothing crazy, just toggle inputs based on 480i or 480p. As I was tired of tinkering with PCSX2, getting random bugs here and there, and changing settings from game to game, to relive my best memories, I decided to get a real PS2. On certain PS2 Games that are dance pad compatible allows the player to follow alongside on the game actions as the player must perform, they are usually found on games such as, Dance Dance Revolution games. If your CRT only supports 15KHz signals (240p and 480i), use whichever cable is easiest; both will look the same.Despite the game being presented in a cropped widescreen, the game is displayed in a 4:3 aspect ratio. However, using the 4:3 zoom function of the monitor if available, a fuller widescreen display can be achieved. In most cases, PS1 discs can be run on a PS2 and perform identically. I’ll list the few shortcomings below, but for the most part, it’s exactly like playing the games on a PS1. Only games that are emulated in it display in 240p/288p, menus and other features display in 480i/576i/480p. There is no in-game option to toggle widescreen. The screen ratio is set according to the setting in the PS2 internal Screen Size menu. Here are the solutions I have tried (when technically feasible) on a TCL 4K 65" TV, a Samsung 40" 1080p TV and a Samsung CRG9 monitor.

No image will be displayed with component cables unless a 240p/288p-compatible monitor or other workarounds are used. The RFU Adapter (SCPH-1122) is an RF Modulator and cable that carries mono audio and video at 576i/50Hz (PAL) or 480i/60Hz (NTSC) via an RF signal and connects using a TV aerial plug. [10] It is similar to the RFU adapter cable available for the PlayStation. HD Retrovision component cable: It may be more expensive and make big claims, but a component cable is a component cable. Same as the TNP component cable. Super jagged, interlaced and aliased. Uses the vert- method, meaning the top and bottom of the 4:3 image are actually cropped, meaning less visible viewing area than when played in 4:3.AV Adaptor with S Video Out Connector | Accessories | PlayStation®2 Systems - PlayStation.com". Some PS1 games have glitches when played on a PS2. Also, the later model PS2 Slim’s listed above replaced some of the PS1-compatible hardware with software emulation and should be avoided for PS1 use. Here’s a list of games with compatibility issues : http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PlayStation_games_incompatible_with_PlayStation_2 On the ps2's menu the component cable makes it look clearer than it dose on the av cable but for some reason on some games the component cable makes lettering look worse. Its not always lettering either sometimes the actual game looks worse with this component cable. Activate Progressive Scan by holding the × and △ keys together when the game boots up.
