The panels were installed according to the manufacturers instructions, but within 3 years 5 out of the 8 panels had completely failed. This model also features an Uninterrupted Power Supply ( UPS),and can accept input from the solar panels, mains power/ a generator andthebattery bank- either from a single or combination of input sources.This high efficiency, waterproof 250W monocrystalline solar panel is perfect for permanent outdoor use to provide free electricity for charging 12V batteries to power various applications such as in a camper van, motorhome, boat, shed, farm, as well as remote applications such as telecommunications or monitoring equipment. It can also be used to provide a direct power supply for applications not sensitive to changes in input voltage / current (e.g. electric motors or pumps). Inbuilt 50A PWM solar charge controller: Regulates theinput from thesolar panel to the batteries, with a full range ofsafety functions; including protection against overcharge, overheating, reverse current etc. The controller uses PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology which increases charge acceptance, prolongs the life ofthe batteriesand can often recover some lost battery capacity. Performance data for the solarpanel is displayed on the LCD screen. Photonic Universe have refused to replace the panels, or offer any meaningful resolution for this issue.
