The buggy design promises to fit a child up to 22kg (approximately four years of age), however our tester felt it would be a little on the small side if you have an older child as they would likely outgrow the seat faster than expected. I don't have a lot to say about the car seat, we never used the Babystyle Oyster Carapace. The ADAC test results was not the most positive, however; the car seat actually failed them. Of course, like with any other car seat, you will have to pay more if you choose the Isofix base option. The padding of this car seat seems comfortable enough - the materials are similar to the Plus-line car seats from Cybex, while the hood will remind you of Maxi-Cosi car seats.

The competition to think about when thinking about an Oyster 3 would be perhaps a Mutsy Nio, an Easywalker Harvey3 (an Easywalker Harvey2 full review here if interested to compare the strollers), an Uppababy Cruz or the more luxurious-looking Cybex Priam 3 or the Bugaboo Fox. BabyStyle's five-point harness works well (the clip holds the straps firmly in place), but the strap between the legs didn't fasten tight enough for our tester’s liking – while it was difficult for her seven-month-old to wriggle his arms out, she found it fit her nearly three-year-old more snugly. We have tested the stroller configuration only. Because my youngest child is almost 2-years-old and has outgrown the carrycot, I can only look and touch to review the carrycot - not exactly use it fully. Despite this limitation, the carrycot seemed comfortable. With the length of the mattress of 73 cm and the width of 30 cm, it is not the most spacious one, but not small either.
Chunky rear turbine wheels allow the buggy to bump up and down kerbs well and help it to run smoothly along pavements so that you don't feel every lump and groove along the way. The seat inserts can be removed for washing, but the manufacturer recommends that these are handwashed at 30 degrees rather than being put through the washing machine. Final verdict?Larger bundles include extras such as sun parasols, footmuffs and rain covers for the car seat along with a matching change bag, if your budget allows.
