About this deal

Thirteen years later, Wei Wuxian is reborn. Summoned by a young man who sacrificed his soul in a forbidden ritual, Wei Wuxian is now bound to seek vengeance on the stranger’s behalf or risk the destruction of his own soul. But when an evil entity emerges, a familiar face from Wei Wuxian’s past suddenly appears amidst the chaos–Lan Wangji, a powerful cultivator who will help shine a light on the dark truths that surround them. Wei WuXian is one of the best protagonists I've seen in anime and manga. He's such a diverse, funny, strong, flawed, scary and commanding character; he's perfect as our guide for this very, very complex story. Lan Zhan, the second protagonist, has incredible depth and it's impossible not to admire how much time was spent creating such an endearing badass that actually deserves all the praise he gets inside the story. It's a colored manhua presented in relatively short chapters to maximize the resources put into the art. The talent here is as good as it gets for manhua; they hired the perfect person for the job. The cut version of WangXian focus with some changes in ending timeline and Lan Wangji drunk new scene.

EditSynopsis The mere mention of the Yiling Patriarch strikes fear in those who hear it, even though the man behind the title has been deceased for 13 years. It is said that, as a practitioner of demonic cultivation, he raised the dead to wage war against the great cultivation sects. The true name of the Yiling Patriarch is Wei Ying, courtesy name Wuxian, and he has returned from the dead, summoned into the body of a mad man! Mdzs has an official English translation by Seven Seas. There are physical copies and also e-book version. There are several arcs in this story. With its current 190 chapters, the manhua has adapted roughly 60% of the full story, as presented in the novel. The Mo Dao Zu Shi storytelling combines different timelines, slowly unveiling many mysteries and providing The Living Dead is the first spin-off movie of The Untamed that tells the journey of Wen Ning and Lan Sizhui.

This is by far one of the best manga I have ever read, and the only reason I'm not giving it a 10 is because that honor is reserved for its amazingly epic source martial, a Chinese novel by the same name(which you should read if you love this manga). Story? Forget about that, there is no such thing here. You follow random ministories which only serve to build up a a large but empty world which could have been good... if there was something it was ultimately leading to. Experience this historical fantasy tale of two powerful men who find each other through life and death in this English version of the beautiful, full-color comic! Overall it's a great read, with beautiful art, and rememberable characters and I can't recommend it enough.Thirteen years later, Wei Wuxian is reborn. The story follows the life of one Wie Ying, a powerful and bright cultivator from the Jaing-ling sect. He's free-spirited and not afraid to cause chaos. But the story opens with his death and unwilling resurrection a few years later(If that doesn't have you curious I can assure you it only gets crazier). Experience this historical fantasy tale of two powerful men who find each other through life and death in this deluxe English version of the beautiful, full-color comic! Also known as MDZS, the comic/manhua version of the New York Times bestselling novels from China that also inspired an animated adaptation and the live-action series The Untamed! All 260 chapters of stories are a romantic buildup with something that one would usually call 'filler episodes' taking up majority of the chapters. The demonic cultivation is mostly an afterthought. In fact 'cultivation' is outright not present at all, characters are Mary Sue from get go. The mere mention of the Yiling Patriarch strikes fear in those who hear it, even though the man behind the title has been deceased for 13 years. It is said that, as a practitioner of demonic cultivation, he raised the dead to wage war against the great cultivation sects. The true name of the Yiling Patriarch is Wei Ying, courtesy name Wuxian, and he has returned from the dead, summoned into the body of a mad man! As Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji seek to unravel the mystery behind the demonic arm, they face both enemies and friends of old, and its link to Wei Wuxian's downfall all those years ago.

But no, the manhua mostly throws around names of sects, characters and such... but none of them matter, wasting memory on them is an exercise in futility as most of them will be forgotten by the author after a few chapters. If you want to get the updates about latest chapters, lets create an account and add Mo Dao Zu Shi (The Untamed) to your bookmark. It became my favorite romance story overnight. The roller-coaster plot and outstanding art are the cherry on top.
