These foundation-level maths mats are designed to support young learners as they acquire and develop their numeracy skills. These sheets include tools to help with counting, number bonds, simple shapes and maths vocabulary. They are also helpful for students who are learning English as an additional language. How can I support my child's counting skills?

Further credit cannot be gained by attempting questions other than those appropriate to the degree applied for. Please note that the syllabus for the MAT was updated for the 2018 test; the current syllabus is available here. If you experience exceptional circumstances beyond your control which prevent this, please alert the college you have applied to as soon as possible.

A set of six colourful maths mats to support your young Maths students with a range of topics. Perfect for reference during the early stages of learning, each mat includes a number square, number line, key maths terms and more. Easy to print and in six vibrant colours, these maths mats are perfect to glue into the front of an exercise book or use as a classroom display. What will my child gain from these maths mats? Authorised schools, colleges and other test centres will be able to register candidates for Oxford’s admissions tests anytime between 1 September and 29 September. We are aware of the widespread disruption to the MAT this year, due to technical issues with the online test platform. The invitation will ask candidates to complete a simple form to register for the optional additional test by noon on Friday 10 November. The test will take place on Tuesday 14 November at 09:00 GMT. The Mathematics Admissions Test (MAT) is a subject-specific admissions test, lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes and sat under timed conditions. The MAT is a hybrid test - with computer-based questions and a paper answer booklet. You will need to take this test at an authorised test centre which, in most cases, will be your school or college. All applicants taking this test will be able to practise by taking the 2022 past paper (or equivalent) as a hybrid test in advance of your test day. Please note that as the structure of this test has not changed, all the existing resources and past papers available here are still valuable preparation for you and we strongly recommend exploring these. Students complete four modules across the year – two compulsory and two elective modules. Compulsory modules: Applicants for Computer Science or for Computer Science and Philosophy will attempt questions 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 for MAT 2023. There will no longer be a question 7. Our minimum STEP offer is a Grade 2 in either the STEP II or STEP III papers. Both the grade and the number of papers may be increased in some cases.
