After his off-screen Eternals cameo, Blade is getting an R-rated MCU movie. Nic Pizzolatto ( True Detective) is rejigging the film's script (per leaker DanielRPK) after previous rewrites were made by Beau DeMayo ( The Witcher) and Michael Starrbury ( When They See Us), who had already treated Watchmen scribe Stacy Osei-Kuffour's original script. Yann Demange ( Lovecraft Country) is Blade's new director following previous incumbent Bassam Tariq's departure. Hawkeye set the scene for the return of Charlie Cox for Daredevil: Born Again, but ahead of that series in 2024, we’ve got Echo. Alaqua Cox played Echo in Hawkeye, and with some serious daddy issues thanks to Kingpin being her adoptive father, this is thought to be the focus of the series. The Ant-Man franchise returned in 2023 as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania released on February 17, 2023. The sequel came over four years after audiences saw Ant-Man and the Wasp. Director Peyton Reed returned for the trilogy capper, which once again featured Paul Rudd in the lead role as Scott Lang, a.k.a. Ant-Man. Ant-Man 3's other returning cast members included Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, a.k.a. the Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne. The movie also saw Kathryn Newton play Cassie Lang in another MCU recasting, while Jonathan Majors played the MCU's new major villain, Kang the Conqueror.

Spider-Man: Freshman Year

A revival of 90s staple X-Men: The Animated Series ( X:TAS) this show will be the first X-Men-starring Marvel Studios project ( Deadpool 3 notwithstanding). There have been several attempts to bring Kravinoff into live-action before, with Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 teasing him for the canned Sinister Sixmovie. More recently, the potential Sony split nearly led to a non-MCU Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel. Taylor-Johnson cleared up confusion about this Kraven being an animal lover, telling ComicBook.com, Kraven is “going to be the hunter that we all want to see.” The Marvels – November 10 Rapper Bad Bunny will play obscure Spider-Man character El Muerto in one of Sony’s ongoing attempts to build a live action Spidey-centric universe of their own. To date, El Muerto has only appeared in two comics, so we’re not sure where they’re going with this, but sure, why not? But hey, they landed Jonás Cuarón as director, so something is going right here! However, at the moment the film has been pulled from the release schedule to to a combination of strike action and Bad Bunny’s tour commitments. It remains in early development, however. Prices of advent calendars can vary greatly depending on what they're offering you in the lead-up to Christmas. Captain Marvel 2, which is now called The Marvels, is coming, with Nia DaCosta directing. Teyonah Parris will return from WandaVision as the adult Monica Rambeau alongside Brie Larson's Carol Danvers, and the film will also feature Ms. Marvel, played by Iman Vellani, who was introduced in the Ms. Marvel Disney+ series.In terms of the cast, most of the surviving actors will be reprising their roles, including the voices behind Cal Dodd (Wolverine), Lenore Zann (Rogue), and Catherine Disher (Jean Grey). They’ll be joined by Mass Effect favorite, Jennifer Hale. Jubilee actor Alyson Court has confirmed she won’t return – insisting an Asian actor should voice the character. Anthony Ramos ( In The Heights) will play Parker Robbins, aka The Hood, who specializes in dark magic. There are rumors that Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat) will portray Mephisto, a previously rumored WandaVision villain, too. Elden Ehrenreich ( Solo: A Star Wars Story) is also part of the cast, as is Anji White (per Deadline), but we don't know who they're playing. Dakota Johnson will play the title character and Sydney Sweeney ( Euphoria) will play a character who is presumably some kind of multiversal variant of Gwen Stacy in a film directed by S.J. Clarkson and written by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Emma Roberts, Mike Epps, Adam Scott, and Zosia Mamet also star, but we have no idea who they’re playing. Bringing together Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman), James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle), and Agent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), there’s also the return of Ben Mendelsohn as good-guy Skrull, Talos. Newcomers include Olivia Colman as an old ally of Fury, while Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke is tipped to add more mutants to the MCU as S.W.O.R.D. head, Abigail Brand. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – May 5 Speaking of WandaVision, writer Megan McDonnell co-wrote the screenplay alongside DaCosta, Elissa Karasik, and Zeb Wells. The Marvels is described as more of a small-scale team-up while we wait for that rumored all-female Avengers movie. The storyline might be shrouded in secrecy, but we’ve got some theories.
