About this deal

Obviously, the stars of this LEGO Star Wars set are the minifigures. Nevertheless, it’s fair to expect the main vehicle to reflect key exterior and interior details of the “real” vehicle, which this scaled-down version does not. The huge speeder bikes feel like they detract from the potential of the shuttle, rather than adding to the overall set. My thoughts exactly. Do we really need the speeders? Certainly their inclusion says to me that they wanted to charge more for what they intend to be the only Bad Batch set. Although missing Omega is very problematic, but maybe she could appear in a Microfighter set if they really don’t intend to produce more Bad Batch sets. The first trailer for the first season of the Bad Batch was unveiled at a Disney investors presentation on December 10, 2020. [18] A second trailer was released on March 30, 2021. [19] There are LEGO® Star Wars™ sets to thrill people of all ages, whether they want to recreate memorable scenes, role-play their own stories or just build and display the impressive construction models. Their positioning seems strange, although I appreciate such accuracy when compared with the animated series. One poster features a Special Ops Clone Trooper beneath an Aurebesh word which reads 'HISTORY', although the word 'MONTHLY should appear underneath. The second poster displays an imposing Providence-class Dreadnought engaging with a Venator-class Star Destroyer. The caption above reads 'SPACE BATTLES'.

Perfect for fun, everyday play sessions alone or with friends, this building toy makes the best birthday present, holiday gift or special reward for creative kids aged 9 and up. Also included are two speeder bikes that appear in two separate episodes of the first season of The Bad Batch. They almost act as additional sets within the wider 75314, both positively and negatively. It adds an extra level of play and value to the set as a whole, but would any of us have complained if we had lost one of the two speeders in exchange for an Omega minifigure, or perhaps also a Clone Trooper in metallic dark grey? — Characters — Tech’s gadgetry is built across his suit and headgear for an on-the-go walking supercomputer, Echo’s trauma of the Clone Wars is etched into his paler skin and cyborg-esque modifications, whilst everything you need to know about Crosshair is captured in that clean and precise tattoo around his right eye. Hunter's helmet is shared with standard Phase II Clone Troopers, albeit incorporating unique decoration. Even though an exclusive element would have been ideal, I think this component works nicely and the printing looks impressive. Tech does feature his own specialised helmet which includes lovely moulded detail, corresponding with the original character and exhibiting accurate accents. The first episode of The Bad Batch premiered on Disney+ on May 4, 2021 with a 74-minute [22] premiere episode. [23] The first season ran for 16 episodes until August 13, 2021. [14] [24]

Additionally, employing this element enables the canopy to open smoothly, although access is restricted by the dorsal wing. Fortunately, another method is available. The boarding ramp and entrance are not functional, inevitably, but they are represented by one dark bluish grey 2x2 tile which seems appropriately distinctive among the surrounding components. There are a couple of compromises to be found, such as Hunter’s bandana having to sit underneath his hairpiece, the size of Tech’s helmet looking out of proportion, and Echo’s missing right hand represented in LEGO form by a light grey hand, but generally the detail across each of the five minifigures is exactly as you would hope for, including across each character’s face prints and their respective helmets. The first bag includes the parts for two speeder bikes. These are very standard LEGO Star Wars speeders, and we’ll return to them later in the review. An opening cargo container is also available for accessories and can be removed fairly easily, providing space for another minifigure when necessary. The additional seat is not displayed in any official images but was presumably intended, otherwise this container would be integrated more closely. This option is definitely appreciated, despite the tight squeeze! Alternative hair pieces accompany these minifigures and each character includes an exclusive head, distinguishing them from standard Clone Troopers. Hunter's facial tattoos and headband are both included, although this headband is hidden under the hair element. Tech looks perfect though, featuring his trademark goggles and a quizzical expression on the reverse. The design shares fitting similarities with other Clone Trooper minifigures.

Thinking of buying this buildable 969-piece playset for a Star Wars™ fan who is a LEGO® beginner? No worries. It comes with easy-to-follow instructions so they can build with confidence. The folding wings are composed mostly of wedge plates and attach to the Technic joint disks on the main fuselage. 1×2 plates with Technic pin holes create hinges to attach angled areas between the crew compartment and wings. A large gap remains between the wings and the nacelles to allow the wings to fold up.

The other speeder bike is a civilian design, named the Rawlings TK5. Hunter commandeered one such vehicle on Pantora. I love the lime green livery, accented with white stripes adorning the bodywork and adjustable thrust pods. These correspond precisely with the source material and the length of 14cm seems reasonably authentic too. Moreover, the outriggers look suitably slender but feel rigid. While it’s not reasonable to expect a UCS-style vehicle that’s “properly” minifig-scale (as variable as the definition for that may also be), the minifigs that accompany this set dwarf the shuttle itself. And … that’s all the minifigs. If you’re caught up on The Clone Wars enough to be watching The Bad Batch as it airs, a key character is clearly missing from the minifig assortment: Omega. Five minifigs make sense for the price point, and of course, we would want all members of the original Clone Force 99, but the set feels incomplete without this new character. Conclusions & recommendation Noshir Dalal as Vice Admiral Rampart, [9] Stormtrooper, [31] Axis Leader [38], Pantoran Guard [32], Stormtrooper #1, Stormtrooper #2 [35]

Star Wars: The Bad Batch crew talks Season length, Omega and Imperial oppression by Sean Keane on CNET ( May 3, 2021) (archived from the original on May 3, 2021) Following his extensive injuries on Lola Sayu and Skako Minor, Echo joins the Bad Batch and wears armour which complements his squadmates. Unfortunately, the kama that distinguishes Echo from other Bad Batch members is printed rather than employing a fabric element and the helmet seems imperfect as well, despite featuring excellent detail. Echo's decorated arm looks splendid though, portraying his cybernetic implants. LEGO 75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle Instructions For LEGO 75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle

Each member of the Bad Batch possesses unique talents and their specialised armours are designed to accentuate such abilities. Hunter appears the closest to normal Clone Troopers, sporting pearl dark grey commando armour with dark red accents. The colour combination is appealing and metallic silver panels are also included to provide welcome contrast. Each of the Bad Batch members’ history in combat and individual personality as we get to know them in the Disney+ show is mirrored in key design traits to their respective appearances, and importantly, those same key design traits are pretty much all wonderfully captured in LEGO minifigure form here.
