About this deal

It was only after more extended listening across different genres that I began to truly appreciate the quality and implementation of bass response. These IEMs helped me realise how many inferior sets blur detail in the bass, choosing instead to focus on superficially impressive punch. Some models generate visceral, almost uncomfortable levels of bass. Not an issue here. Bass on the Orchestras is all about refinement and detail retrieval. The original Kiwi Ears Orchestra model was an instant success in the industry, having been awarded numerous acclaim by international reviewers.

Detail retrieval is another area where the tuners of this iem have done commendable job. Full marks to them. Though it is fairly easy to drive with any dongle dac like link 2 bal or M15 but it really transforms itself into different beast altogether when connected to something like hip dac or xduoo 5+ The texture is lean and rather dry but in exchange you get top class clarity and definition with prime layering. The midrange region is definitely the strength of the Orchestra. Extended listening helps to appreciate the tuning of the Orchestra as more details are heard, which are often overlooked upon initial impressions. They are a bit forward but tuned very well to present a rich midrThe more I listened, the more I liked this set of IEMs. The box is a tight fit for the cable and IEMs. Where to Buy There aren’t any significant dips or peaks, which ensures a smooth listening experience, but it also means that the treble doesn’t have the sparkle or sizzle that some prefer. Overall, the Orchestra Lite offers a highly detailed, accurate, and natural sound signature that is perfect for those who prioritize neutrality over excitement. Verdict Do you like the bright and cheerful world of Claude Monet's paintings, with their emphasis on color rather than three-dimensionality?

The Orchestra Lite has atypical bass for an all-BA IEM. From memory, it reminds me of the Softears RSV in that it delivers more textured and impactful but slower and less precise bass than one might expect given its driver configuration. The Orchestra Lite also fares better than one might expect in terms of dynamic contrast, although it does not compete at the level of the RSV. Despite the emphasis on an impactful and dynamic bass presentation, bass resolution and articulation remain adequate for the price point. Finding the “Lite” version to be all inclusive and vivid for what it attempts to do……........call me surprised. The beginning of the surprise started before I even heard the “Lite”.........with just seeing all those (pictures) of the BA drivers positioned behind those filters! Such details started to arouse curiosity. Graphically the Kiwi ears Orchestra Lite seemed like maybe it should be called the Orchestra Plus? Yet graphs only show partial frequency response, a regular FR graph doesn’t even go so far as to show note timbre or note decays. The quantity of silicone ear tips is more than adequate for the price. Kiwi Ears provides us with 9 pairs of tips that have a normal-sized bore. Personally, I would have liked the variety of eartips to include not only normal bore tips but also 3 pairs of wide bore tips and 3 pairs of narrow bore tips to allow for more customization. In my analysis, I ended up using different eartips (wide bore ones) which helped enhance treble definition and slightly widen the soundstage.
