There are 11 cooking functions in total - with the standard lid fitted, the Instant Pot can pressure cook, sauté, slow cook, steam, sous vide, and keep warm - all of which Instant Pot dubs wet cooking method. We feel that the Instant Pot duo crisp with ultimate lid is a great improvement on existing designs. Although it has all of the same functions you’d find on similar multi-cookers, the single-lid design means it saves a lot of space and is much easier to clean. As the lid is hinged, you don’t need to worry about setting it down somewhere heat-resistant during use either. There are 11 smart programs included in each of the Instant Pot + Air Fryer models with 6 being “wet” cooking methods and 5 being air fryer related. The same set of programs are available in both of these models. These models have fewer “wet” cooking programs than the other Instant Pot models. The handles on the new liner design really do make it easier to remove a hot pot from the base.
