About this deal

Of course Christmas isn't just about the things you buy from the shops. I wanted to write a story about the sorts of things that are free - like bravery and kindness. I hope Winston's Christmas adventure shows you that you are never too tiny to be brave and that little acts of kindness can often make huge differences to other people. Even though Christmas is over, I can't say that this didn't help spread a shred of Christmas spirit or cheer. However, once you realise that the mouse could have just posted the letter again after it flew out of the letterbox and have avoided so much trouble and near death experiences, the story takes a boring toll. The sense of adventure isn't too keen as Winston makes acquaintances with some pigeons, a cat and a rat. They try to help him but all fail miserably as the poor mouse desperately tries to deliver a letter to Father Christmas.

Once they are cooked let them cool and then enjoy! They will look really great and taste even better! Written in twenty-four-and-a-half chapters, one to enjoy each day in the lead up to christmas, each chapter includes it's very own festive activity for all the family to enjoy together – including writing a letter to Father Christmas, making mince pies, designing your very own Christmas cards, making presents, creating decorations, and so much more! I'm aware I'm not the target audience for this book so haven't been harsh about the plot or characters (both of which are fairly simplistic).

The instructions for these stained glass window biscuits are taken from How Winston Delivered Christmas with kind permission from Macmillan Children’s Books Ingredients I'd give it to Santa. I'd look for a red light in the sky. So I'd have a ladder, and I'd climb up onto a building, and if I saw a helicopter I'd grab onto it. I'd give the letter to Santa Claus. You know, I'd like to make the pet robin today because the pet robin isn't a Christmas thing one single bit. The busy bustling shops, the glitzy decorations, the waiting and then of course the big day itself! Cut a hole in the middle of each biscuit with a small cutter. Ask your grown up to help you with this!

Q&A Asked about How Winston Delivered Christmas

I loved the story! Winston is so adorable and sweet. He's very brave and spunky, and I loved all the quirky characters that he meets. The plot really moves along with different twists and turns, and lots of descriptions of beautiful holiday decorations and food and toys that Winston gazes at longingly. I don't know if the set-up with 24 chapters really works though. It would be too hard to wait until the next day to read the rest of the story! I would read the whole thing in one sitting, or maybe read part on Christmas Eve and part on Christmas Day. There is no way I could wait the entire month, hearing the story in little pieces. Every chapter ends on a cliff-hanger, and it makes the reader want to keep reading. The advent calendar chapters. There are 25 chapters, which means children can read one a day in December. I've never seen anything like that before, and I thought it was really smart and sweet. I didn't read it like that but, especially for children, that's a lovely option. The illustrations are beautiful and colorful and entertaining! I love the cute expressions on Winston's face, and how each character comes to life in the artwork. The plot was quite simplistic but that's to be expected from a children's book. I still enjoyed it a fair amount.
