About this deal

There’s no hiss in the headphones when you turn them on (maybe faulty piece of the reviewer or bad connection or whatever), my UX3000 stay completely silent until you play something and in quiet parts there’s no hiss or white noise present. The last thing I will write about in this paragraph is Active Noise Cancellation. I have to admit, that it works pretty well, the sound of the air conditioning in my office is being reduced really well. When canceling this kind of noise, ANC of Final UX 3000 does an almost as good job as the passive noise cancellation of my Craft Ears Fout CIEM, but when my colleagues start talking, then I can hear only their voices separated from the environment, that’s the thing hard to get used to. Sound The UX3000 is the first wireless overhead headphones from final brand featuring active noise cancelling with hybrid noise cancellation methodology. Generally, headphones and earphones which have noise cancelling feature equipped are having the driver units (speaker) emit a special electronically generated sound on top of the music or voice originally to be played to cancel out external noise. This puts stress on the drivers and leads to significant degradation of the sound quality. Turn the ANC on and the bass gets an extra helping of that sub-bass boost, with more focus on the bass and treble overall. When using these in high noise environments and with the ANC on – the sound is really enjoyable and upbeat.

I think the ATH-M50X are too boosted in the low end and are very uncomfortable to wear as to me they are skull crushers.

Final finally joins the wireless ANC fray

We, however, would like to create earphones and headphones that people have an affinity for and continue to use in much the same way they have with a mechanical wristwatch, the kind that will be valued as an antique in the future. In contrast to the general design, UX3000 is designed to fully optimize the acoustic characteristics of the driver itself. By featuring a completely new driver which is designed to be strong against stress and having its high-frequencies being applied with a slight correction through equalizer, UX3000 delivers premium sound quality which achieved good noise canceling performance and exceptional sound quality even for audiophiles. One weird thing about the UX3000 is that the ANC feature can be used even when they are powered off: the status LED (on the right hand side) lights up green when you use ANC this way. It does stay on even when you power off the headphones after you’re done using them and this means that you need to remember to disable ANC before your power off the headphones, otherwise the battery will keep on draining until it’s depleted. This is actually bad design, since one normally expects that powering off a device really powers it off and doesn’t leave some features that drain up battery enabled. Sound & Specs Also they sound great, out of the box I would say they need a bit of burn in, but they already sound better or on par with the famous Sony WH-1000XM4 (sadly didn’t get a chance to compare to the XM5 yet) which are more expensive, and with a bit of EQ tuning you get an absolutely glamorous sound.. for that I can recommend looking up oratory EQ tuning for the Harman curve, it’s really great. The Final UX3000 supports Bluetooth 5.0 and also allow a multipoint connection. The pairing was seamless and we did not notice any dropouts. They also provide the following codecs for high res audio:

final UX3000 Review — Headfonics

At a third of the price of the UX3000, the W820NB has to make some concessions. Most notably, there’s no aptX here, only SBC. ANC on its own mode. You can have the ANC turned on but the headphone turned off. Really good for scenarios such as being in a Library and wanting that extra silence. There is a constant high-pitched hiss when the headphones are on; it is subtle, but clearly audible. It actually increases in volume if you turn on noise cancelling and it becomes even higher pitched as well – it sounds a bit like white noise, but with a distinctive presence of high-frequency noise in it. This is not a major issue if you are going to use it in places where noise is significant, such as planes or public transport, but in quieter areas you are probably going to hear it clearly. The design of the final UX3000 is quite similar to that of many recent Bluetooth headphones – it is not too different, in terms of shape, from that of the Sony MDR-1000X released a few years ago. This is not to say it doesn’t have its own personality, as final made the UX3000 stand out with a peculiar finish: they call this “shibo”, which is the Japanese word for the wrinkles that form on paper or leather. It reminds me of the finish you can often find on cameras and it gives the UX3000 a unique look, with a gently rough surface that’s pleasant to the touch. For casual listening I would definitely recommend these headphones as an everyday Bluetooth headphone. For the price they are absolutely worth the money but I still wish they came with a case for better protection during travel.
