About this deal

I felt like En wasn’t that well fleshed out as a character. His only trait seemed to be youth - but I’m trying to think if there’s any protagonist in a vampire story that’s interesting and no, there really isn’t. I liked that he tried to help Sugi, the suicidal vampire. Fangs is a short graphic novel following the relationship/romance between a vampire and a werewolf. It is meant to be humorous and fairly light hearted.

Currently incapable of coherent thoughts. Logical and critical thinking whomST? I don't know them 😡🤚🏼🙅🏻‍♀️👎🏼 There's such a sweet romantic relationship starting between En and Ichii! A newbie vamp, and a mentor who actually cares. I loved the banter and playfulness between them. En was adorable! So full of life and emotion, despite struggling a bit with not being human anymore. I can see why all the older vampires would like him. You can't help but be charmed by him, and he's not even trying.One thing I did enjoy was Balibally's art. I like their scenery and how they gave their characters distinctive traits. They're able to build sexual tension effectively, and some of the comedic elements worked in their favor (Darwin's introduction). I also emphasize with En figuring out his place as a newly christened vampire, being as "young" as he is and getting to meet fellow peers and see how they deal with the transition. I didn't understand vampiric plastic surgery when Masaki explained it, but that's relatively minor given how much Balibally went over. The art is beautiful! And everyone is sexy. I also liked the chibi kinda art scattered throughout because it brought out more fun and personality. (Maybe that's typical in manga. I believe this is technically the first real manga I've read, though I read plenty of other graphic novels, webcomics, etc.) Also, I saw someone mention how nicely drawn all the hands are, and they were right, these are some perfect hands! This was also a somewhat interesting take on vampire society, what with the Fangs organization, blood delivery, pairing with other vampires being encouraged, support groups, etc. Other characters we meet through Ichii's blood delivery job include a gay vampire couple consisting of an overprotective plastic surgeon and his flirtatious spouse,a loving vampire/human couple whose love has stood the test of time with both the human wife and the couple's child reaching old age still cherished preciously by the devoted vampire husband/father, and a grieving vampire widower with a giant pet tortoise who hasn't been able to move on from the loss of his husbandwhotragically fell asleep outside watching the stars one night and vanished with the rising sun. The characters all feel like unique entities rather than a generic cookie-cutter vampire cast. They own businesses, keep exotic pets, go skateboarding, get married, and do all the other things ordinary people do depending on their tastes, just with the occasional biological restrictions placed on them due to their vampirism. They feel very "human" in some ways and their diverse tastes and personalities make them fun to get to know. In addition to wanting to see more of the main couple, I want more of these guys, too. iii) Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled and information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to locate the material;

En and Ichii's relationship also could have been developed more. The latter chooses to be the former's guardian right off the bat, but the romantic framing isn't strong enough to want to root for them. I also didn't like Ichii taking advantage of En at several moments throughout this volume. Balibally's established dynamic is currently the driving force of these two being together, rather than their growing feelings for each other. They can grow as a couple. However, their first time threw me off because it's related to what I discussed earlier and in a status update.The relationship has elements of tropes that bother me in some BL’s. At times, Iichi feels a bit too pushy. The sex scenes felt like he was moving faster than En wanted him to and there’s talk about him using his “charm” to make it “better” for En, which wasn’t great. En later calls him out on it but I don’t necessarily feel as though that was quite remedied. Add to that, you have the knowledge that Iichi is so much older than En and attracted to him bc he’s emotional and youthful.

This is a manga that would be great for people who love steamy Yaoi and paranormal mystery. As for me, I liked it but didn't love it. So I'm going to give this... To be fair, the elements that felt reminiscent of True Blood aren’t necessarily elements that are exclusive to that series. It’s just a lot of elements from vampire stories in a BL manga. I loved this graphic novel with its beautiful art, sexy vampires, unique characters, touching and interesting relationships, exploration of vampirism, and sweet blossoming romance! Elsie’s a vampire and Jimmy’s a werewolf and they’re girlfriend and boyfriend and hilarity ensues and waffle waffle… This said, I found this on tapas and was immediately intrigued. I mean a relationship between a vampire and a werewolf? It sounded interesting and I decided to investigate.I may be biased considering I love both vampires and boys-love stories, and I'll admit the idea of a supernatural welfare organization is hardly a new concept in manga, but "Fangs" was a delight to read. I found the main couple to be particularly sweet and Iespecially enjoyed the wide range of different vampiresthe readers meet.
