Accordingly, To All the Boys contains scene after scene of Lara Jean and Peter sharing their deepest hopes and dreams and desires with one another, and then reminding each other that their relationship is, of course, fake. “I could write you notes,” Peter says, gazing adoringly at Lara Jean, before he tells her that he’s only doing it to make his ex jealous. Lara Jean explains that she has issues with intimacy because of the death of her mother, before brightly pointing out that she doesn’t have to worry about that with Peter because “we’re just pretending.” s͢o͢ I͢ a͢m͢ g͢o͢i͢n͢g͢ t͢o͢ b͢r͢i͢n͢g͢ m͢y͢ a͢l͢l͢ a͢n͢d͢ s͢l͢a͢y͢. I received and ARC of this book in exchange for a review. And I feel kinda bad that this is gonna be the first GR review of this. Famous fashion designer Verena Valentine wants nothing more than to avoid Adrian Hunter for the rest of her life. But there’s no escaping her childhood best friend turned enemy at her sister’s week-long tropical destination wedding. The only thing worse than being trapped with the infuriatingly handsome yet arrogant Adrian is discovering Verena’s ex is attending the wedding with the model he left her for.

Mina has dreamed of being a Broadway star for as long as she can remember, but never did she suspect her debut would involve starring alongside the famous and handsome Zac Delavin-who is also the world's biggest jerk. Despite having a celebrity crush on Zac, Mina can't stand to be around him. But when they sing together, their on-stage chemistry is undeniable, and after leaked rehearsal footage turns viral, the public goes crazy for their relationship, believing they are in love. In contrast, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before has both Lara Jean and Peter enter their fake relationship with their eyes open. They sign a contract in which they make their expectations toward one another clear, and they make honesty and transparency a requirement of the contract. Is it too early to say I’m inlove with this book? Well I’m saying it anyway. I love the characters in this book, Zac is such an ideal boyfriend like where can I find him, like I need him in my life seriously❤️‍🔥. Mina is such a bubbly character. I love her character too, these couple compliment each other so well. They found the love they need and deserve in each other💝. The writer did so great in this book, I love her writing style, it is such a easy read. I applaud skyla summers as this is only her second book out and she did such a good job in this book and in her first book👏💘. The chemistry between characters was there, this is such a fun, light, flirty romance book. I would totally recommend it🫶. I know for sure that it could've been way better which is why I'll probably give her books another chance (if she has other books, I'm honestly not sure).

I do not have anything against this author, I'm saying this once again but the first book was just fine and I gave it four stars but I just didn't like this book, the writing. A Steamy Enemies to Lovers, Fake Dating Romance. For fans of The Spanish Love Deception, The Unhoneymooners, and The Hating Game.

Fake Dating Zac Delavin by Skyla Summers Summary

Then Adrian and verena finally sort of got together with the whole fake dating and then Darius appears. And verena finds it a good idea to let Adrian think that she sleeps with Darius, which she doesn’t. And then she is wondering why Adrian has the GODDAMN NERVE to say that he has lunch with his ex, but verena is just so conveniently forgetting that she is rubbing Darius in his face, like wtf was Adrian supposed to do when nobody tells him that it isn’t true. And miss verena is then mad at Adrian for not telling her his feelings. Like girl why you sending mixed signals. Fake Dating Zac Delavin is a modern masterpiece, a powerful novel that can be read on its own. This novel is written by Skyla Summers. She is a true storyteller, and Fake Dating Zac Delavin is her best book. It is an epic tale of family, secrets, loss, marriage, betrayal, friendships, laughter, and regrets. Fake Dating Zac Delavin is a heartfelt novel written with compassion and hope, reconciling the past to pave a road to happiness and second chances. The characters in this novel bring life and heart to this story, each with a distinct voice and personality. They made readers love them, they made readers sad, they made readers angry, they made readers laugh, they made readers cry, and they made readers believe in the promise of love and home. I understand how Verena's career played into the plot, but I just did not like her being a reality show star. Just a designer would have been better.

Celebrity Fake Dating Series by Skyla Summers - Goodreads

Fake dating was beloved of teen movies during the genre’s golden age in the late ’90s — think Drive Me Crazy, She’s All That, and 10 Things I Hate About You — but since the death of the romantic comedy, it’s mostly become a marker for parody. In this decade, when a TV show has done an episode satirizing rom-com tropes, the way Community or Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23 did over the course of their runs, those episodes have usually involved signposting a fake relationship. (“Wanna pretend you’re just going out with me on a bet?” asked Abed’s manic pixie dream girl love interest.)I cringed so bad while reading any detail about the gang stuff. Like, I guess it's a good idea but if you're gonna write it, write it properly. if zac wasn’t going through a divorce & it was just a breakup, rather than having crazy stalker connor and instead just having a miscommunication arc, i would have loved this book sm more. it literally could have just been zac & hannah but jus w escalation towards more misunderstandings and jealousy 🧍‍♂️

In this book we are introduced to Zac & Mina. Both are co-stars working on an upcoming broadway show. I really liked the concept of them fake- dating and all that. They had really cute moments that definitely stood out. But again them falling in love really fast kind of ruined it just a little. But if readers who are looking for something fast then this book is definitely for you!!! Zac is a broadway star who is going through a messy divorce, which is affecting his career and leaving him damn near penny-less (HA penny 😆) < his ex wife. I don't know, maybe it's me but maybe this book just needs more changing but I just didn't like the book. these two have some super cute moments and hella hot ones too. There is obviously chemistry there from the start. I just felt the way it was written it seemed like it all happened over a week or two. Fake dating is the have-your-cake-and-eat-it-too of romantic tropes. It grants audiences all the satisfaction of seeing the central couple in an established, domestic relationship, but it doesn’t deflate the will they/won’t they tension because you are always waiting for the two fake lovers to realize that they’re actually really in love. It’s a trope that lends itself equally well to both fluff and angst.Coviluted yet predictable storyline - Faking dating someone to make the guy you're fake dating jealous. Okay I haven't read that before but it was kind of sloppy. I don’t usually skip books but for this one I skipped the first book because I saw a tiktok about it. This book was alright, didn’t feel as though there wasn’t anything special about it. It was just a plain-o spicy book. I have a personal preference where I don’t prefer books that are insta-lust unless i’m in need of getting out of a reading slump, so personally I think if the book was more slow paced and the characters had more development I would have enjoyed this book 10x better. The smut scenes had me fanning myself because of how hot it is❤️‍🔥🫣Spice/ smut scenes rate it 4.5/5🌶️ it’s coming out on January 24, 2023 so better look out for it. Would highly recommend it. Still thinking on how good the book is and how I love it💗 can’t wait for Jordan’s story🫣
