The Edifier W240TN offers 7 hours of use when ANC is switched on and the case will provide you an additional 14 hours in the charging case. When you switch ANC off it will provide you with a slight increase in battery life to 8.5 hours on a single charge and an additional 17 hours from the case. This amount of battery life kept me happy when I was listening to them travelling to work, while I had a workout, and just when it was a time in the day to just listen to some Ibiza chill out at the end of a hard day these earbuds gave me plenty of battery life needed. The W240TN has a great style for those just looking for something small that fits well. Its aesthetic build is quite nice too, with a singular design that sets itself apart from other true wireless earphones on the market. Controls

Edifier W240TN's actual buttons are easy to operate, and don't make your earbuds move too deeply in your ears when you press them. The brand is notoriously hesitant when it comes to putting all the desired controls on your earbuds. This time around, the controls are the same on both earbuds, and as a result, the control scheme is too limited: First thing I did was replace the narrow diameter/bore eartips with ones with a 5mm diameter. This brought out a much better and unrestricted sound. I have no idea why they give you tips that restrict the sound. Hit ‘Customized’ and that opens a complex looking 4-band EQ where you can alter the Gain, frequency bandwidth and Q Factor. The Q Factor “refers to the size of the centre frequency relative to the bandwidth”. The larger the value, the narrower the bandwidth. I must admit that despite this concept being around for ages I struggle to wrap my head around it – it’s a bit like what Final has done with its app for the ZE3000. The best advice is to play around to see what effect it has.

There’s also a customizable EQ, but it’s a bit more complex than some other EQs as it uses unusual terms to describe level and frequency adjustment parameters that may make casual listeners feel overwhelmed. The W240TN exhibit fantastic build quality. They're ruggedly handsome and small compared to other oval-shaped wireless earbuds, and feature an aluminum housing and integrated multifunctional button. Attached is a sturdy plastic cavity that carries most of the hardware and they're rated at IP55, which guarantees dust and waterproof protection. Comfort is satisfying for music lovers that want to listen for long stretches. I would often wear the buds for three hours straight before experiencing any fatigue around the concha.In addition to the audio quality and the ANC, you can also use these buds to take calls due to the built-in mics in both earbuds and the quality is fine I found I could be heard and could hear who is speaking clearly. If the environment is nice and quiet but as we know calls can happen at any time of the day. When you increase the outside noise the call quality can be affected, and more outdoor noise comes in than you might want. It’s a shame but these are budget-friendly in-ear headphones so it’s not a massive surprise. Battery Life The charging case is just as attractive. It is rectangular with rounded edges and has a pulsating LED that gives off 1980s TV show Knight Rider vibes. It feels nice in the hand and sturdy enough to survive tumbles to the concrete. Strong magnets keep the buds latched onto their charging slots and the lid shut tight. The buds and the charging case are built using premium plastic material and provide that durable feel they don’t feel like they will break after a few uses. The buds do not protrude too much out of your ears and are lightweight at only 5.6g meaning after a long period of time you will forget they are even in your ears. You can set a time to switch off automatically before going to bed to avoid the over-time sound, or set a time to switch off to avoid excessive use to protect the hearing.
