The Edifier R1280T and R1280DB are very chic and good-looking bookshelf speakers. Each speaker has a matte top panel with grills made of removable gray cloth material. Although the sound position will not be prominent at the front, it can make us feel its existence. That may be the interpretation of the sound of the R1280DB speaker set by the Edifier. You may think this a small issue but I found the volume adjustment to be overly smooth and subtle, such that it was quite difficult to immediately tell the difference, making it all too easy to press the volume button too many times before realising the volume had changed.

There are controls that allow you to tailor the sound to your liking such as tweaking the bass or treble. They are incomparably better than the R1700DB and R1280BT to a point that I wouldn't even consider buying the previously mentioned ones.
