The Prairie of Love: This pen can hold dinosaurs of any species. It provides 5 points for each pair of dinosaurs of the same species (couple). The King of the Jungle – This pen can only hold one dinosaur (any type). Probably my favorite option in Draftosaurus is the single point that you get for placing a dinosaur in the river in the center of the board. While the rulebook says “The River is a special zone that is not treated like a Pen”, this is usually where players toss their unwanted dinosaurs. Are these dinosaurs still alive? Why are these the only dinosaurs that are laying on their sides at the bottom of the river? These are answers that you’ll have to explain to your own children. De az például nem is került beszerzésre, mivel a könnyedsége mellett a témája sem volt olyan, ami megszólította volna a gyermeki énemet :) The Marina Draftosaurus expansion is much simpler than its counterpart in that it simply offers up a new way to gain points. You can only place a Plesiosaur in the standard river placement on the main board, and then after placing a dino depicted on the next bridge, allows you to move into the next section. Each section you move your Plesiosaur into will accumulate the points awarded at the game’s end. Simple. Both sides of the board play out the same. Még tavaly ismertette meg velem egy barátom, a komolyabb társasok és a hazamenetel között még maradt egy kis idő, így kitöltöttük a Draftosaurusszal. A dínós téma aranyos, bár a komponenseken kívül nem igazán célja a játéknak a túlzott tematizmus. Jóötlet, hogy a játéktáblák két oldalúak, így lehet picit variálni a dolgokat (és a komplexitást is lehet egy kicsit fokozni a hátoldallal). A draft intézménye a fő mechanizmus, melynek során a körben kiválasztott kis dínó figuráinkat megpróbáljuk a lehető legoptimálisabb módon lehelyezgetni a táblánkra. Lehet előre taktikákban gondolkodni, de a nagy szerencsefaktor miatt ez szinte mindig borul, vagy éppen nagy mázli, ha összejön a terv. Tehát a játék rákényszerít, hogy alkalmazkodj, és abból főzz, amiből tudsz. A T-rexek picit fűszerezik a játékot, nekem tetszett, hogy velük külön kell okoskodni egy kicsit. A csupán két körre tervezett játékmenet nagyon gyors, pörgősen le lehet pakolgatni a dínókat a számunkra megfelelő helyre. Játékideje miatt azóta még nyüstöltem párszor a BGA-n szabad 15-20 perceimben, de az az igazság, hogy nem igazán tudott megnyerni. Szerintem tipikusan az a játék, amiből 2-3 parti lemegy egymás után, viszont kellőképpen megunja az ember hetekre ezután. Lehet hogy nem jó a párhuzam, de ha már egyszerű játék és draft mechanizmus, a Sushi Go szerintem jobb élményt nyújt (a party verziója meg pláne). Ha fillerként kezeljük, akkor pedig vannak ennél sokkal tematikusabb, ötletesebb filler kategóriába tartozó játékok is. A kiegészítőit még nem volt szerencsém kipróbálni, lehet hogy az dob egy picit az alapjáték rendszerén. Így az alapból nekem hiányzik valami kis finesz, valami extra, ami egyedivé tenné, tehát abszolút közömbös kategória ez a játék számomra (ez persze teljesen szubjektív). Inkább 7-11 év közötti gyerekeknek, gyerekes családoknak ajánlanám, ott talán a különbségek-hasonlóságok észrevételének fejlesztése, és a megkötésekhez való alkalmazkodás kialakításához hasznos bevezető lehet.

The dino-meeples in the base game are some of my favourite meeples ever. I just love the shapes and uniqueness of them. Aside from the colour choice of the Pterodactyls, the expansion meeples do not differ in quality. They are top-notch and look right at place in the draw bag with the base game meeples. Some people may be able to distinguish the different shapes when drawing them, but, with my mountain hands, I am just happy when I get my hand out the bag without being trapped in there myself. Overall King of the Jungle: This pen can only hold 1 dinosaur. It provides 7 points if your zoo contains the most dinosaurs of that species. Ties are broken in your favour. On both the expansions, there are slight variations within each of the boards. This adds a little further to the replayability. In Aerial Show, there is a placement that grants you an extra point per pen in your zoo of the depicted dino, and on each of the boards, it is a different dino. In Marina, the Plesiosaurs move under each bridge after placing a depicted dino in your zoo, and the depicted dinos are changed on each board. These little touches are a nice little bonus. If a player cannot or does not want to place a dinosaur in a Pen, they can always place it in the River. The River is not treated like a Pen. The game involves players drafting dinosaur meeples from their hand. They place them in their zoo. Then pass and receive the next batch of dinosaurs. Points are awarded based on the placement of the dinosaurs in the zoo. The winner is the player with the most points, after two rounds. How to play

Lovers' Bridge (left and right): This pen is divided into 2 sub-pens, each of which can hold dinosaurs of any species. It provides 6 points for each pair of dinosaur couples with one member in each sub-pen. A "Dinókiválasztás" (sajnos az eredeti angol cím ötletességét lehetetlen vagy igen nehéz magyarul visszaadni) játékban 2-5 fő verseng a tökéletesebb dinópark létrehozásáért. 2 teljes fordulóban 6-6 kör áll a játékosok rendelkezésére 12 dinó lehelyezésére. Minden fordulóban 6ot húznak egy húzózsákból, egyet kiválasztanak, azt lehelyezik játéktáblájukra, a maradékot továbbadják, amíg el nem fogynak a dinók. A dinók helyétől függően kapunk pontokat a játék végén. A játéktáblák 2 oldalasak, ami az újrajátszást segíti. Gyorsan tanulható filler, a legbonyolultabb része a pontozás, amihez azért igényeltem volna néhány szép, igényes pontozólapot. The Pyramid: The pen can only hold up to 6 dinosaurs.
