Nikki and her friends Chloe, Zoey, and Brandon are on a mission to hide a dog and her seven puppies. They have to hide the puppies at school, at Nikki's home and everyone else's home since there is no more room at Brandon's pet place. Brandon and Nikki discover Holly and her puppies in front of his shop with a note. The note explains that the previous owners can no longer care for Holly and her pups. It is now up to Nikki and her crew to find homes for all the dogs shown in a crazy story. My favourite part was when she had kept these dogs in her bedroom in secret (since her mom didn't allow her to keep them ) Brianna (her little sister) found out everything and made a huuuuuuge mess with the dogs. Since her parents had gone out for that night, Nikki still had time to clean up this mess. She figured baby-sitting was far worse than dog-sitting. LOL. Many of the events in the book are based on the experiences I and my daughters had in middle school. The fact that Nikki has to hide 7 puppies and a dog named Holly from 2 parents, 1 bratty little sister, an entire school and 1 mean girl is so thrilling, that it keeps any reader hooked to the book. ;)Nikki finds out that Fuzzy Friends had adopted some dogs the last couple of days, so Holly and her pups were able to get places. But even then, they had all been adopted, including Holly. Nikki was really attached to them, and she's gonna miss them. At the very least, they were all given good homes. Brianna misses the dogs the most and wishes they were still there. Their parents get suspicious while Nikki tries to cover it up. At that moment, they go to unload some groceries from the car which consist of pet supplies. Their dad has a surprise for them and it's revealed that the surprise is a puppy. Not just any puppy. It was the smallest one they had grown to love the most. They decide to call her Daisy. Now, all is well as it ends. Or, that's what Nikki had hoped.

I know this sounds weird, but it’s almost like I can FEEL her presence even now as I’m writing in my diary. This is my favorite easy book series. I love how I can relate to Nikki and her friends at school. This book was silly and an enjoyable read. I laughed out loud a lot! I have two daughters. My younger daughter, Nikki, helps with illustrations. I am also looking forward to adopting 3 children in the near future. With a HUGE global fanbase, Dork Diaries is the perfect series for fans of Lottie Brooks, Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Tom Gates.

I also liked the part when she takes all 8 dogs to school and leaves them in Principal Winston's Room (since he has gone to some meeting outside school)... When she goes to collect them after school, she discovers the puppies running loose creating absolute chaos and an angry Principal right in the middle. LOL.....
