About this deal

The TARDIS crew travel to Amsterdam to revisit locations and reminisce about Season 20 and their time on the programme. As for the story itself — oh, how I wish those episodes would be recovered. Once again, Doctor Who meets masterpiece theater. Intense drama, and plenty of action. The Doctor battles brigands with his sword, right alongside Ian. That Power Nap again! https://www.penguin.co.uk/books/456143/doctor-who-the-romanov-project-by-bushnell-niel/9781529907988 The Region 2 release of Terror of the Zygons was released in advance as part of The Fourth Doctor Time Capsule box set without special features, and was later re-released on its own with special features. Verity Lambert was capable of virtually anything. What she’d accomplished with this alleged “children’s show” was nothing short of miraculous, and to do it in the face of the opposition of the times was even more impressive.

Lost in Time was released in two formats in Region 1, with individual releases for Volumes 1 and 2 (which cover First Doctor and Second Doctor episodes, respectively), as well as an edition combining both volumes. In Regions 2 and 4, Lost in Time is available only as the combined single volume. Resurrection of the Daleks was originally intended to comprise four 25-minute episodes, but was broadcast as two 46-minute episodes due to the BBC's coverage of the 1984 Winter Olympics. The DVD contains the story in a four-part format. In Italy, a BD version of The Complete David Tennant Years (titled Gli Anni Di David Tennant) was released in 2016. An equivalent set would not be released in the US until three years later in 2019.

Not one of the more popular stories, but very high concept and something we’ve seen before and also copied quite a bit over the decades in other sci-fi shows. A very Twilight Zone feel to it, with the crew trying to change their own future to prevent becoming exhibits in the titular location. A well done story with a couple interesting side notes such as a young Jeremy Bulloch a decade before his turn as an archer in The Time Warrior and as Boba Fett in Star Wars.
