Collectable Minifigures have always been incredibly detailed, but their standard has increased over the last couple of years. 71038 Disney 100 Collectable Minifigures definitely achieves the expected level of quality thus far and the character selection is exceptional, encompassing over eighty years of Disney's history between the first nine minifigures alone! The Princess and the Frog’s main character has been depicted as a mini-doll before, including in 43203 Aurora, Merida and Tiana’s Enchanted Creations. The hooded jumper is nicely detailed as well, featuring white stripes and printed cuffs on both arms. Furthermore, the modern hood component looks great and a pair of blue legs completes the ensemble. I think medium legs were a suitable choice for Miguel, reflecting his age of twelve during the movie.With no physical minifigure or mini-doll, the report details a round tile with a compass print for this minifigure. 6 – Cruella de Vil Image: Disney Facilier's cane and a printed 1x2 tile are provided, the latter representing a tarot card. Similar to the minifigure patrons on Tiana's poster, the hands on the card are actually those of minifigures, which looks great. Unfortunately, the villain's magical talisman is omitted, which is odd because a printed 1x1 round tile would have sufficed. Another unique head has been developed for Prince John, featuring even greater detail than Robin's! Once again, the animated fur texture looks good and John's crown includes moulded jewels around the edge. However, I wish these colourful gemstones had been highlighted with printing to reflect their onscreen appearance. Eighteen minifigures are included, so we have decided to divide our review. Part one features classic characters like Oswald and Pinocchio, alongside three Disney princesses, making their long-awaited minifigure debuts! Box Distribution Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Disney's first animated feature film. Until now, neither the titular heroine nor the iconic Evil Queen had appeared as minifigures, although this series finally introduces the latter. Naturally, the minifigure features a delightfully cruel expression and the washed-out flesh colour suits her quite well, although was obviously not intended. Maybe, I dunno, look up an image of Mulan from the animated film and compare it to the skin color of the minifig before asking that again? Fourteen films are represented in 71038 Disney 100 Collectable Minifigures, of which Robin Hood is perhaps the least known. However, the titular outlaw is immediately recognisable and his unique head sculpt captures wonderful detail, notably including a yellow hat, with space for a red feather on top. Robin's pointed ears and fur texture each look excellent too.
