About this deal

I mixed it with some Fentimans Tonic for my Gin and Tonic. The botanical notes of the tonic brightly lift the gin. The citrus and bitter comes through, but saying something I rarely say— The tonic water actually makes it less bitter. This was one of my favorite ways to drink Nikka Coffey Gin. This Gin and Tonic is not your usual beach sipper. It’s complex and surprising. I don’t think you’ll chug this one. To taste neat, and the spirit takes on a far bolder character and personality than I had anticipated. The flavour notes from the nosing are there and then some, elevated to a much grander scale. To my palate, the coffee actually overtakes the velvety smooth profile of the cocoa, brining with it complex aromatics that would bring a smile to even the hardiest of hipster bearded baristas! I've always loved wine since I was old enough to drink it," he says. "In recent years I have also invested quite a lot in wine and collected it, so it's just another passion.

Cold-Brew Coffee Gin — That Boutique-y Gin Company Cold-Brew Coffee Gin — That Boutique-y Gin Company

During the 1970s, coffee liqueurs had a major resurgence, particularly in the UK and Australia. Led by the emerging middle-class dinner party scene, these drinks became a staple as an after-dinner tipple, acting as both a dessert and digestif. So, what makes a good coffee liqueur? The same was true when ESPN sat down with Bottas in Alfa Romeo's hospitality to discuss his extra-curricular interests in a recent interview. Relaxed in a t-shirt and shorts, sporting well-defined tan lines on his lower thighs and upper arms from his hours of cycling each week, Bottas was willing to talk openly about his life away from F1. Coffee I recommend buying this gin because you want to sip it neat. It’s a really enjoyable gin that doesn’t taste like anything else on the market. Place the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup into a highball glass. Fill glass with ice, then top with sparkling water, but leave space at the top. Stir to combine, before adding the cold coffee. Recommended Garnish I'm a 30 something year old Gin enthusiast, Birmingham born & bred, and now living in Leeds with my beautiful (and eternally patient) Wife Emily.

In distilling it is a lot about the water," Bottas says. "So that is one of our strengths. And also some of the botanicals we get from the forest in Finland is stuff you don't get elsewhere." Yes, that Nikka Coffey. From one of the biggest names in the world of Japanese whisky comes their Nikka Coffey Gin, distilled on the very same Coffey Still. Designed by Aeneas Coffey, imported to Japan by Nikka in the 1960s, the still has distilled some legendary whiskys. Pro tip: You need to shake well to get the crema on top of the gin espresso martini. 3. Strain and Pour

And good news for mullet fans everywhere, when asked if he plans to get it cut, Bottas added: "No plans. For now it's staying." Valtteri Bottas' mullet first appeared last December -- and he has no plans of getting rid of it any time soon. Dan Istitene - Formula 1/Formula 1 via Getty Images Gin But of course, I am also planning for the future, because this career doesn't last forever. I still feel like I have many good years ahead, but eventually you have to do something else and of course I am also making sure I am not wasting money on these things. How did I serve it? How do you think I bloody served it?! Sipsmith laid down their marker with the title of their latest expression, and it was almost inevitable that this gin would end up in an espresso (or Sipspresso) Martini.

My wife-to-be and I were sat in a cliff top restaurant in Lanzarote in the summer of 2008, admiring the breathtaking views and a fabulous meal. As the waiter presented the dessert menu, and asked for our fancy, my eyes lit up on seeing one of my favourite sweet treats listed; Tiramisu. There’s something about the mix of mascarpone, coffee soaked sponge and liqueur that really floats my boat, and I’ll often struggle to look past it once spotted. We were doing some wine trips last December and went to this small vineyard, fully family owned, and I'd never heard of it before. But when I tried their products and it actually became my favourite in the whole region. Start by pre-warming the cup. Just add hot water and let it sit while you get everything else ready. A couple of production notes. Firstly, the base spirit is intended to be a star in this gin. It is a blend of barley and corn. Secondly, if you look at the botanical list for Nikka Coffey Gin you likely see a lot of unusual names. Of the novel Japanese botanicals— one is a kind of peppercorn. The others, the kabosu, the amanatsu, the hirami lemon— along with the yuzu, orange and lemon are all citrus fruits. Tasting Notes
