About this deal

The rear features a USB-C port for charging, which is ideal if you already have a phone charger, or another device with that cable. You can even charge the unit in the car. A high-pitched noise is likely to have been caused by the units being too close to each other. We recommend that you keep the units at least one metre apart and preferably in different rooms. Why can't I hear any sound but the lights are flashing? The Parent unit may need to be restarted. Press and hold the Power button until red bar appears on screen

The BT 3000 Video Baby Monitor is a high-quality baby monitor that will help to give you that added peace of mind that your little one is resting or sleeping peacefully. It comes fully complete with a parent unit, a baby unit, two mains power adaptors and a user guide to walk you through the set-up process in a breeze. The range is the maximum distance the Baby unit and the Parent unit can have between them and still work together. BT Video Baby Monitors are tested to ensure they have a range of up to 50 metres indoors and 250 metres outdoors. The Parent unit may be on standby mode - please press the POWER button once to activate the display

If this the feature enabled, please ensure the Parent unit’s screen is enabled to turn on and off automatically. To do this: If your camera is paired, the image from the camera should be displayed on screen. The camera icon should appear on the top left or right of the screen. If the camera image is not displaying, try switching both Baby and Parent units off and trying again. The sound sensors are fantastic. These allow you to leave the monitor in standby with the screen off, saving battery life; it will pop on when it detects anything.

Hold the LINK button on the rear of the camera until the unit beeps and the image from the camera appears on the screen The camera unit is similarly plastic and solid, but is far more simple with just one slider to power it on and off. A small diffused amber light will displays to indicate the unit is on – something that might distract your little one, but generally isn’t bright enough to be an issue. In fact, it could be enough to do away with any other night-light in the room. These ranges can only be achieved in ideal conditions when there is a clear line of sight between the Baby and Parent unit. Any obstruction between the units will reduce the range significantly. The camera itself does come up a little zoomed in. As a result, the camera needs to be quite far from baby to ensure you can see them. Often this proves troublesome if the monitor is propped on the cot and the little one rolls out of sight. A wide-angle lens here would make sense, if you’re listening BT.

Select appropriate screws for your wall (these are not supplied with the product). Make sure the screws fit through the holes on the bottom of your camera If the temperature is not appearing or shows as 0°C/32°F on the display of your parent unit, it may indicate a loose temperature sensor. Please get in touch with our helpdesk to discuss a replacement unit. You can clean the camera using a soft dry cloth or a microfiber cloth for the lens. Don't use abrasive or chemical liquids.Electrical equipment or large metal items located near the Baby and Parent units, such as TVs, PCs, modems/routers, microwaves. These should be placed at least one metre away from the units to avoid interference There’s a selection of five lullabies that can be played to the baby – a nice idea, but they’re pretty flat-sounding so might not be much use for relaxing. Although the models look similar in appearance, they are not compatible and will not link together. Can I switch off or dim the amber light on the Baby unit? The units are too far apart; please move them closer to one another (but not closer than one metre)

Automatic night vision is still one of the most useful features. The 6000 has a super-clear night vision system that is as vibrant in the dark as it is in the day. Move the Parent unit closer to the Baby unit (large metal objects or other electrical devices may affect the signal between the two units) Please ensure the Parent unit is plugged in and fully charged - the charging/battery light on the bottom left of the unit should be lit up blue The amber light on the camera cannot be switched off or dimmed but covering this light should not impact how it functions. The wireless connectivity between the camera and the monitor is super-impressive, working at the other end of the house across two floors and through lots of walls. BT says it can work up to 250 metres. It will even work in the garden, if you don’t go too far. If the Parent unit screen is showing the menu and usual icons but you do not see an image from the Baby unit, please ensure the Baby unit is plugged in and the units are in range The most prominent feature of the 6000 unit – over the 5000 or 3000, for example – is that 5-inch screen. It’s a colour panel that will also display in night vision automatically when the camera detects light is low.
