About this deal

She is a paragon amongst the Sisters of Battle, armed with a fearsome blade that cuts through foes like butter. You might also recognise her as the star of the original 2nd Edition Sisters of Battle Codex cover. The Adepta Sororitashave been part of Warhammer 40k lore since the game debuted in 1987 (there are some gnarly drawings of them purging heretical Space Marinesin the Rogue Trader book), but they wouldn’t get their own Warhammer 40k codexuntil a decade later, right at the tail end of second edition. On top of using the Hymns, she also has a great ability for ObSec. Meaning you can either count as double for objectives or give Objective Secured to units without the rule. Although the Sisters wearpower armor similar to Space Marines, inside the case they’re just standard humans. They’ve got a 3+ armor save, and even a 6+ invulnerable save thanks to their faith in the Emepror, but toughness 3 across their infantry means they still go down under any concentrated weight of fire. But to the Sisters’ way of thinking, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing… Surviving is a skill that can be learned like any other, and Canoness Veridyan has taken that skill to its extreme. A veteran of innumerable wars, she is a common figure on the front line, taking the battle to the foe with fury born of faith itself.

In the wake of Vandire's downfall, Sebastian Thor was declared the 292 nd Ecclesiarch and the Imperium began the long process of rebuilding. Perhaps the most sweeping of changes Thor instigated affected the military forces over which the Ministorum held sway. What remained of the Frateris Templars was disbanded, under the terms of the so-called Decree Passive, which forbade the Adeptus Ministorum from controlling any "men under arms." The Sisterhood serves as the Ministorum's only official military force because the Decree Passive laid down by the reformist Ecclesiarch Sebastian Thor held that in the wake of the Age of Apostasy's Reign of Blood in the 36th Millennium, the Ecclesiarchy cannot maintain any "men under arms."

Hot Takes

This elite sisterhood is equipped with blessed, heretic-smiting halberds and maces, and they carry large shields for protection in the crucible of battle. Their ability to perform Heroic Interventions makes the Celestian Sacresants bodyguards without peer, helping you keep your prized Characters alive and your army fighting at optimum efficiency. Unlike the many Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes, the Sisterhood is united into a single organisation with a centralised ruling body.

Beacon of Faith is now not quite as useful, granting an extra Miracle dice that can only be used by the Warlord but does allow you to use an Act of Faith for a second time that phase. The first clue that the T’au Empire book was incoming came hidden ina Warhammer Community post at the end of October, Games Workshop revealed the T’au codex would release early next year. No specific release date was given, but GWsaid it wouldbe one ofthe “first new codexes coming in 2022”. Chirurgeon's Tools - Implements of both torture and salvation, the chirurgeon's tools can restore the fallen so that they might fight once more. The Sisters of Battle are the army of the Ecclesiarchy. Clad in ceramite power armour, they carry an awesome array of weaponry with which to vanquish their enemies; the incredible wealth of the Ecclesiarchy ensures that they are equipped with the best wargear the Imperium has to offer. Named characters cannot be given Blessings of the Faithful. Each model can only have one Blessing of the Faithful. An army (or a Crusade force) cannot include the same Blessing of the Faithful more than once. A Crusade force cannot start with any models having Blessings of the Faithful - to include one in a Crusade force, you must use the Saintly Benedictions Requisition.

The Grey Knights and Thousand Sonsreleased in August 2021, followed by a standalone release of the Orks codex in September. In a similar manner to a Chaplain of the Adeptus Astartes, a Dogmata is the personification of righteousness, leading her fellow Sororitas in war hymns as she advances stoically into battle. Yet, she’s more than just a spiritual exemplar. A Dogmata holds the power to condemn any Sister to join the Repentia – or, worse still, be consigned to a Mortifier – to seek atonement or redemption in death.Like the others, it’s full of army-specific datasheets, rules, and bespoke Crusade content for the Death Guard, the vile, disgustingly resilient sons of the dread Daemon Primarch Mortarion.

Each time you gain a Miracle dice at the end of a phase as a result of Vengeance, if this WARLORD destroyed any enemy units during that phase, that Miracle dice is automatically a 6. Castigator -The new Battle Tank of the Adepta Sororitas with a choice of main weaponry (Castigator Autocannons with 4D3 Strength 7, AP-1 D2 shots at 48″ or a Catigator Battle Cannon with two firing modes). No special rules or anything on this Datasheet, it’s just a mobile heavy weapons platform.Inspiring Orator extends the range of any hymn or ability the Warlord uses by 3″ and allows nearby Core units to ignore the penalty for being under half strength when taking Combat Attrition tests. Each time you gain a Miracle dice, roll one D6. The number you roll is the value of that Miracle dice. This value cannot be changed or re-rolled, unless a rule specifically states otherwise. Keep your Miracle dice to one side - this is your Miracle dice pool. The 9th Edition Space Marines codexwas released on October 10, 2020, so it’s available now. There is also a special Collector’s Edition available, if you fancy it.
