Unfortunately the form factor is not as discreet as we would like and GPS is not included. Free memory card includedfor straight-out-of-the-box use. If you are the type of person who always removes tech from your car when parked, I guess this wouldn’t really be an issue. For a lazy person like me, however, I’d certainly opt for a less visible product. The Transcend DrivePro 200 may attract too much unwanted attention. I have today, upgraded it to v1.26, in hope that it will solve this issue, has anyone else had a problem with the unit resetting constantly?

If you left your car off for a couple of days, then everything would reset. Many buyers will be happy to know that configuring the DrivePro 200 is a breeze, even for the technically challenged. After connecting it your car’s cigarette lighter for power, it will come on by itself, prompt you for the time and date (on first time setup) and then start recording automatically whenever your car’s ignition is on.

Now (besides some scratches) it is even better then before because also after a couple of days it still has its memory! w0000t! It comes with a G-sensor so your video files will be saved if a sudden breaking maneuver or impact is detected. It also has a large emergency button that you can use to the same effect for any footage that you would like to keep for whatever reason. This is likely due to a low capacity super capacitor used in this camera. There is no resolution unless you are willing to replace the capacitor with a bigger one. The DrivePro 200, when activated will continuously record footage and store them in seamless cuts at intervals of 1 minute or more. There is also a red button on the side to activate an emergency mode, which will then protect the footage in a separate folder. This feature is also automatically started if the dash cam detects an impact. Day and nighttime recording modes are not automated.Although the video quality is excellent in both day and nighttime driving conditions, users have to manually switch between day and nighttime recording modes. Why is it that my hard disk can only be allocated to 2TB, and the remaining capacity is displayed as "Unallocated" ? The Transcend DrivePro 200 is an affordable WiFi capable dashboard camera sold by Transcend, the well known Taiwanese memory card manufacturer (a 16GB Micro SD card is included with the device). While this might be branded as a Transcend camera, Transcend is likely not the manufacturer of this product. Its squarish shape is quite similar to many other “Taiwanese” dash cams like the HP F210.
