About this deal

I nije bilo, ni za mene ni za Marinku. U početku sam skroz bila uz djevojčicu i njezine probleme, a onda sam gledajući odraslim očima na trenutak izgubila tu mlađahnu nit i prepoznala sam kako se moje godine iskustva javljaju i njezino me ponašanje počelo ljutiti. I loving look at death, loss and life, this books is a great way to show children the idea of the inevitable idea of mortality. Armistice Day: A Collection of Remembrance - Spark Interest and Educate Children about Historical Moments This is a children book, and it reads like that; but it's a good children book, and I am glad I have it so I will read it to my kids some day. I have a thing for stories that have to do with the dead, and here in Latvia we are very familiar with russian culture (incidentally, we also drinks lots of kvass and eat lots of blini), and it seems like recently it has been featured in many books I read and loved (i.e. the bear and the nightingale). Lisa Howard and Eve De Leon Allen really are a perfect match. Neither one over powering the other, and neither one fading into the shadows. This casting choice is utter perfection and the chemistry on stage is just amazing. Hats off to Nina Dunn for the Video desing and Jasmine Swan for the Set designer. The combination of the use of video and the highly interactive and reactive set pieces are amazing to look at. They provide a high level of spectacle without taking away from the drama and narrative. Each transition is placed intentionally, each projection is used to wisely and each scene is delivered to the audience seamlessly and beautifully.

Grace Phelan, age 10 - 'Wow-just wow! What an enchanting read that was! I clung onto every word that was printed before me, this book was practically made to dazzle children.' Sophie Anderson was born in Swansea, and now lives in the Lake District with her family. Her writing is most often inspired by folk and fairy stories, especially the Slavic tales her Prussian grandmother told her when she was young. Karen Coats, writing for The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books, provided a mixed review, noting that "Marinka's yearnings are relentlessly one-note". [4] Despite this, Coats wrote, "Marinka's lies and errors in judgment have natural consequences that evoke both suspense and empathy. The innovations on the Yaga figures render them necessary and sympathetic rather than terrifying". [4] The play’s music is spellbinding, with a captivating score by Alexander Wolfe that journeys from New Orleans to Eastern Europe, to the stars and beyond. Every song serves a purpose (often not the case in a musical adaptation), all accompanied by instruments played by the actors themselves – everything from flute to accordion, saxophone to electric guitar – proving themselves truly multi-talented.
