About this deal

That's when it all became clear I loved writing but didn't/don't necessarily understand a thing about captivating readers. Where would I start? How? The next scene is eight years later when we see Alex arriving at the hospital where he works as a practicing pediatrician. While attending to a young girl and her parents Alex hears a commotion in the admission section and rushes to the scene. There he finds a thug-looking man named Bruno holding his son in his arms and demanding to see Alex. Alex is the only person there who Bruno will trust with his hemophiliac son who had fallen off the couch. Alex provides Bruno assurance and carries Bruno's son into the emergency room. Alex thereafter visits Margot's mother and father where he confronts Margot's father regarding how positive he was when he identified his daughter's body after the murder. Out of this conversation we learn that Margot's father was a captain in the police force at the time and that Alex never viewed or identified his wife. Margot's father is irritated by all of Alex's probing questions and eventually asks him to leave. This book is unbelievably awesome. First of all, I'd like to say that I had avoided reading it for too long until I had a chance to try it, then I couldn't putting it down even I had a lot of work this week. Tell No One has a straightforward narration. We believed wholeheatedly about what the author tried to tell, but after that, he revealed a distrustful evidence making us reconsider our thought again and again till the end. And this is what makes the book so special for me.

Reading Paulette Jiles' revenge western Chenneville, it's easy to remember she's a poet. She plays ... I’m a fan of Harlan Coben’s Myron Bolitar series and decided that I’d start this book without reading the synopsis. It was selected as the book for group discussion in one of my groups and was highly touted. The book was that much more exciting because I didn’t know what it was about and read the prologue with no clue as to where it was going. Here’s what I’ll say about it so you can have a similar experience if you choose. As a boy, Will Klein had a his older brother, Ken. Then, on a warm suburban night in the Kleins’ affluent New Jersey neighborhood, a young woman—a girl Will had once loved—was found brutally murdered in her family’s basement. The prime Ken Klein. With the evidence against him overwhelming, Ken simply vanished. And when his shattered family never heard from Ken again, they were sure he was gone for good. Now eleven years have passed. Will has found proof that Ken is alive. And this is just the first in a series of stunning revelations as Will is forced to confront startling truths about his brother, and even himself. The pacing in this book makes for a brilliant mystery thriller - no time for unnecessary information or wordy explanations, it's a real rollercoaster ride! Terrible secrets lead basketball star David Baskin to fake his death while honeymooning in the tropics in this manipulative but otherwise engaging first novel. His bereaved bride, supermodel Laura Continue reading » Next, Alex and Bruno together go to the office of Pierre Ferrault where Alex questions Ferrault regarding his connection to Margot. Ferrault informs Alex that he had represented a man name Helio Gonzales who had been accused of killing Philippe Neuville, the son of the wealthy and well known Gilbert Neuville. Philippe and Helio had been seen together the night of Philippe's murder and Margot came forward as his alibi for the time of the murder. Margot had originally claimed that she had been professionally counseling Helio, but because no one was expected to believe that she would have been working at 11:00 p.m., Margot eventually admitted that she had had a two-month affair with Helio.

Excellent story that kept my interest and had me thinking about the story between reading sessions. I particularly enjoy the author's word choices and usage. Very comfortable style and cadence with wry humor that made me frequently smile. Mr. Coben also writes very descriptive scenes that allow you to really feel and see what is happening. While both the Myron Bolitar series and the standalone Harlan Coben books have their appeal, they do cater to somewhat different reader groups. The series is lighter in scope, and its pace is different. The thriller novels are all psychological in nature, and they deal with much darker issues. Also they are much more serious in tone.

Book Summary

Edgar-winner Coben (Caught) continues to mine rich veins of terror in his New Jersey novels of domestic suspense, exploring both the reality and the ideal of family ties and the ease with which evil Continue reading » I’ve just finished reading ‘the match’, another great read. I really struggle to get into a book with the exception on Harlan Coben, Myton Bolitar should be televised by HBO, It’s such a great story line with Win always present, but Wilde carrying the baton really well.
