About this deal

We meet Beca Valentino, fed up with her life in London she decides to sell her business and return home to Pembrokeshire, Wales. Having found her dream home she sees this as a sign and makes her move. Been coming here for years, one of the best places in the city if you ask me. All of the flavours are absolutely incredible. My personal favourites are strawberry sorbet, Nutella and tiramisu. All of the staff are so fantastic and welcoming. I highly recommend this beautifully written book. Jo knows how to write a book and this one comes from her heart. Here, we celebrate our imperfections' swimming in sea 🏊‍♀️ with others 'welcome to the Swn Y Mor Mermaids 🧜‍♀️ This place felt so alive' Reconnecting with her past is more of a trial than Beca anticipated, especially as the family that anchored her to Swn Y Mor are now all gone. She is no longer seen as a local, but neither is she an outsider. She is unsure where she stands with her former best friend Griff after so long away, and to make things worse, her grandparents' beloved ice cream parlour has been taken over by the man who broke her heart and converted into a swish, but soulless, bistro.

As with every read from Jo Thomas, mouthwatering descriptions throughout left me feeling very hungry after every sitting. I love every book as it takes us somewhere different, with a mix of various foods, flavours, smells and experiences and this book is no exception.Tantalising freshly cooked seafood, and wonderful flavoursome, creamy traditional gelato, great company, idyllic summer days at the beach, making peace with the past, fulfilling your dreams, providing love and stability and a fantastic sense of community! Griff, a friend from when Beca was younger helps along the way. Beca is a strong, determined, warm hearted woman, and the book is filled with humour and laughter, but also heartbreaking at times. Scenic descriptions of the coast and sea make you feel you are there, enjoying the fresh air and breeze. Beautiful! Brilliant! Amazing! I am a huge fan of Jo Thomas and have read all of her books and this one certainly doesn't disappoint. And, right now, that feel wonderful! Ty Mawr name of house and 'This could be the perfect for children' well learn she has been approved to Foster children she believes under 10. So they can go out and play outside and help tend the animals. Even the less savoury characters like Ed, are not irredeemable and Jo’s careful hand brings a satisfying conclusion to what could have taken the story in an unwelcome direction.

Each and every one of our customers are unique and have their own original reasons for travelling, so our fantastic colleagues will be on hand to bring some summer joy to our customers, whether they’re visiting family, exploring a new part of the world or heading to the beach for a week in the sunshine.” Perhaps an unusual spot to find ice cream, but Morgan's Butchers sells a lovely range made by Meadow Cottage, a producer based in Churt who have their own herd of Jersey Cows. Flavours include vanilla, chocolate, coconut, coffee, butter toffee, crème caramel, apricot and mango. Whether you are heading there for a meal or just a sugar fix, the choices are out of this world. Our lovely county is also full of fabulous ice cream vans and parlours selling classic Mr Whippy 99s, retro lollies and gelato in a range of scrumptious flavours. I loved this story. The story line was completely new I had not come across this concept before. I just goes to show if you want something it is certainly worth going after it. This gripped me fully and I found it hard to put the book down. I had chocolate and biscof flavours and it was delicious. A few seats inside which was useful after a day walking around... the city.Sweet!, 9 Stevenson Square, M1 1DB. 4. Ginger’s Comfort Emporium, Northern Quarter Credit: Ginger’s Comfort Emporium I adore this author's books; this one is another superb story of new starts in old places. I will admit it took me a minute or two to get involved with this one, but after a few chapters, I was hooked. I absolutely adored this book, just completely loved it. Jo Thomas always sells me a dream in her stories but this one in particular felt like I was there with the characters and could so easily imagine the town, the beach, the whole set-up. I really enjoyed the ice cream making and the pop up café that Beca sets up. I found myself wishing it was real and I could stroll along the cliff path and stop for a delicious treat. There were so many delectable flavours on offer! The coolest spots in town, providing the goods whether you've been for a walk in the wonderful nature that surrounds us, on your commute, or want to plan a day around a cool sweet treat (we don't blame you).

Summer - New Cafe Ice Cream! - Projuice Swirl’s Out For Summer - New Cafe Ice Cream! - Projuice

There is just so much to love with this book, and Jo Thomas was come up trumps with this novel. It's deliciously fantastic, and it even made me want to visit Wales, which given I tend to prefer a foreign holiday, is a feat in itself. Try the Chantilly Lace sundae made up of fresh strawberries, meringue pieces and raspberry ripple gelato, topped with soft-serve ice cream and cream. I'm craving an ice-cream, sorry Beca, I definitely mean a gelato! I'm rather envious of all the delicious sounding gelatos that were present in this story. Will the ice cream 🍦 business be successful, will Beca ever find love in her small hometown and how long will the boys get to stay with her? This novel leave you guessing till the end! I immediately took to Beca and felt myself willing her to succeed in her bid to recreate some of her grandparents’ ice cream magic. There’s something rather special about finding a perfect recipe and recreating the tastes of years gone by. Of course, this requires trial and error and there’s a process to get it just right. Also in the town are two men who were/are important to Beca. Ed/Eddie was a youthful love while Griff has been a friend for years. Will Beca find romance with one of them? Readers will certainly hope so and will be rooting for one of these more than the other. It’s not all about sunshine and gelato though as this book has so much more. I loved the relationships that we see developing throughout the book but none more so than Blake’s story. Your heart just goes out to him as he’s definitely not had it easy so far but you can see this being the big turning point for him with Beca’s help.

Summer at the Ice Cream Café: Brand-new for 2023: A perfect Summer at the Ice Cream Café: Brand-new for 2023: A perfect

From mint chocolate chip, to strawberries and cream, there's nothing quite like digging into a frozen dessert when the weather is good. Surrey is home to some fantastic cafes, pubs and restaurants serving dreamy puddings. Soon Beca comes into her own and its a joy to watch her grow and gain confidence thats she didnt think she had. Griff her childhood friend is also on hand to help and its a joy to see the two reconnect. Last month the airline announced plans to open a new bar at its Heathrow Terminal 5B lounge in partnership with Chateau d’Esclans’ Whispering Angel. Slimline design: our ice cream machines are narrow so they can fit into small kitchens and worktop spaces. Ben & Jerry’s, ODEON, Trafford Centre, 201 The Dome, M17 8DF. 3. Sweet!, Northern Quarter Credit: Emmeline BanksI loved Griff and I was hoping and hoping that the ending that did happen was going to. Just the best ending! And without giving anything away, towards the end what happens with the spoon was a genius idea! Very clever! Returning home isn’t as easy as she thought, however. Her family’s beloved ice cream café is gone – turned into a soulless wine bar by her hateful ex-boyfriend. Reconnecting with her oldest friend, fisherman Griff, isn’t straightforward either. And when, instead of the children she expected to take in, two wary teenage boys appear on her doorstep, Beca fears she’s made a terrible mistake. This book was a particularly heartwarming book as I work with teens and am overly attached to anything with provenance/family ties. I loved the ‘hand up’ focus in this book - helping others and sharing the love - as much as the exploration of how difficult it is to return home. Fairly new to town, What The Pitta has brought the city’s first-ever vegan soft serve, finished off with a tasty Love Raw vegan wafer and toppings such as Biscoff crumble, chocolate sauce and sprinkles. It’s the perfect alternative to the traditional 99, except levelled up a notch with the Bueno-like wafers and, in our opinion at least, wayyyy better toppings.
