A game of mass combat set in the Nightmare future of the 41st Millennium. These are not simply the battles of man against man. This is the struggle of mankind against a universe full of alien invaders, usurpers and traitors who seek to shatter the fragile Imperium of Man. Epic Battles feature immense armies of infantry, dozens of tanks and giant war engines such as the Titans and super-heavy tanks. Each team of marines is also equipped with six war gear cards that give one-time special abilities. Each marine can take 3 wounds before becoming incapacitated. And each marine has a special ability that makes them a unique snowflake. Granted it’s a genetically altered indoctrinated dealer of death kind of snowflake but they’re unique and that makes each one special. Whilst this model is not available as part of Space Marine Heroes outside of Japan, it is available in the Space Marine Adventures – Labyrinth of the Necrons boxed game

Warhammer 40,000: Fireteam

Kill Team is the game of skirmish combat in the 41st Millennium. Set in the same universe and using the same miniatures ranges as Warhammer 40,000 but with a different rules set, it allows you to play a game of fast-paced tactical skirmish combat in games of 2-4 players, in less time and with a fraction of the models you’d need to play a full game of Warhammer 40,000. Besides being fairly repetitive, my biggest gripe with the game overall is the use of a d20 for the countdown timer as it was a bit fiddly to find the next number in sequence. Personally, I prefer much this style as the smaller sprue games makes removal so much easier and cleanup even easier too. Please swap all our sprues to this style GW.

Explore Citadel ColourIt’s also much appreciated that the miniatures are supplied in different colors. This is another indication of the target market as they don’t necessarily expect you to paint them. However, this is a quality of life consideration and allows for easy identification of the pieces, a trait necessary for those unfamiliar with the different chapter distinctions and weapon appearances.
