About this deal

The surprise factor is there and I enjoyed it!!! I feel sometimes I would have been more surprise if I had known more about the legends that the book talked about, but that's on me and that's not in most of the moments. I will be reading the next books, but before that I will read more about Arthur and his friends.

Silver In The Bone’ Alexandra Bracken’s New Arthurian Novel ‘Silver In The Bone’

The characters also made it hard to get through...I didn’t like them for a large portion of the book. This is a great fantasy with a lot of aspects taking place in our modern world and others in Avalon. Tamsin is an amazing character. I think she's incredibly dynamic. She has abandonment issues from the time her and her brother were left by their guardian at a young age. This left them both to scavenge and continue stealing magical artifacts for money. Simmering with magic, peril, romance, and heartbreak.” —Leigh Bardugo, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Shadow and BoneOMG! This is absolutely one of my favorite works of the author! The opening lured me enough to keep my interest intact, the entire execution was engaging, entertaining, promising! The characters are likable, magic system and world building is well blended in the Isle of Avalon setting and King Arthur legend.

The middle part of the book was definitely my favourite, and I had hopes that it would continue that way! Did you know you can flag iffy content? Adjust limits for Sex, Romance & Nudity in your kid's entertainment guide. Get started Close

ARC copy provided in exchange for an honest review. This in no way changes my rating or review. Quotes copied from ARC. We’d been raised at the knee of jealousy, fed by the hand of envy, and sheltered under the roof of greed. I honestly had a little hard time to enjoy the author’s previous work: Lore. But this is something exceptional! The characters are properly done, all with their personalities and stories that made them very unique and interesting. However, the story makes something to one character that didn't resonate with me when it happened... but apart from that, I can say I connected with Tamsin and company most of the time. Simmering with magic, peril, romance, and heartbreak." —Leigh Bardugo, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Shadow and Bone

Silver in the Bone Series by Alexandra Bracken - Goodreads

Balances horror and heartbreak with humor and tenderness. Heady romance blooms between Tam and Emrys, but it’s pessimistic Tam’s rewarding journey toward hope, trust, and self-acceptance that serves as the story’s heart.”— Publishers Weekly

Silver in the Bone

One character who doesn’t get much limelight but is still important is Neve. I enjoyed Neve’s character and connection with Tamsin because she is good-natured and willing to open up. Upon joining Tamsin, Emrys, and Cabell on their quest, she brings out open-mindedness and helps Tamsin get out of her shell. Many questions are unanswered and people to stay wary of, but she sets the goal to study up and find her inner power all while facing the unknown. No more words! My expectations are so high for the second installment after reading the cliffhanger at the end! I need it ASAP! Trust comes deeply through this novel. As the story progresses Tamsin has to work together with her arch-rival, Emrys, who is known for his infamous Cunningfolk father, so it seems ‘obvious’ that he would follow in his father’s footsteps. However, despite their differences, they both have one goal which is to find the famous ring. Neve and Emrys The problem with siblings, I decided, was that they spent years gathering up all these little knives of observation and learning exactly where to slip them between your bones.
