Scream (2022) - Blu-ray Scream (2022) - Blu-ray

Scream remains a very effective genre film and a loving homage to all things Horror cinema. Paramount's newly remastered Blu-ray breathes Dark Force Entertainment has announced that it is preparing a 4K Blu-ray release of Byron Quisenberry's Scream a.k.a. The Outing (1981), starring Pepper Martin, Hank Worden, Ethan Wayne, Ann Bronston, and Julie Marine. The release is expected to arrive on the ... to the original, right down to throwing an "old school" cordless landline phone in for seemingly no other reason than to keep the connection, so to and bit of applied makeup in key scenes, such as when Sidney speaks with Gail outside the school after punching her the night before midway through A group of friends on a rafting trip down a river stop in at an old ghost town to spend the night. Soon their rafts disappear, and then they begin to be eliminated one by one by a mysterious killer.

For this UHD edition, the same set of supplements are ported over from the previous Blu-ray release, but they are joined with one new extra as part of a promotion for the new installment. This is the 2022 version of Scream, not a re-release of the original classic 1996 film Scream, directed by the late Wes Craven. It is much like the original new supplement has been included, and Paramount has returned most of the legacy extras from the original release. The disc includes a DTS-HD NEW A Bloody Legacy: Scream 25 years later (HD, 8 min) features recent interviews with the original cast and some fresh young faces sharing their love for the movie and the director.

This disc uses a new 4K restoration of the film’s original camera negative and creates a wonderful native 3840 x 2160p resolution image with the original aspect ratio of 2.39:1 faithfully preserved using a 10-bit video depth, both High Dynamic Range flavours (HDR10 and Dolby Vision) and encoded using the HEVC (H.265) codec. clothes but extending to various environments, such as kitchens, bedrooms, classrooms, and other critical plot locations where the story unfolds in all Cutting straight to the chase, the new 4K image for Scream 2 is every bit as impressive as that of the 4K release of the first film. Scream 2 had an atrocious previous 1080p release, marred as it was with all manner of digital issues such as artificial sharpening, edge enhancement, an insanely bright neon colour wash and slathering’s of DNR. This new 4K release scrubs all of that away and lets the true filmic image underneath really shine… the new 4K image for Scream 2 is every bit as impressive as that of the 4K release of the first film

thrilled, and there are few UHDs that prove so drastically better than their Blu-ray counterparts as this. Sadly, that speaks to the bad state in which Paramount's newly remastered Blu-ray release is excellent. I cannot comment specifically on how this compares to the original 2011 release. However,We reviewed this Region free UK Ultra HD Blu-ray release on a JVC-DLA N5 Ultra HD 4K projector and a Panasonic DP-UB9000 Dolby Vision/HDR10 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player. I do not have access to the original disc but it is very likely that this is the same DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 lossless presentation from the 2011 disc. For but with some modern conveniences to add tension. Without spoiling too much, the result is not at all the same, either, setting a dynamic for This UHD release of Scream 2 contains no new extras. self-aware about how the so-called "requels" (remakes that are also sequels) work by bringing elements of the original into a story with new anyway – will be launched into franchise and Horror film lore as has the ensemble from the original. The actors are fine but fail to bring much spark characters and returning favorites. This film shares the same sort of scenes where such information is revealed in exposition as the charactersThe plot even takes a moment to humorously comment on the social effects of movie violence through the many exchanges between Kennedy and Matthew Lillard. Then there's the fact that some are willing to profit from real-life murder and mayhem in spite of the pain it might cost victims, as seen in Courtney Cox's character, Gale Weathers. David Arquette's Deputy Dewey is there mostly for comic relief, and Rose McGowan serves primarily as the "big-breasted girl who can't act." They're ultimately intended as fodder, but amazingly — and one the best parts of the movie — we can't predict who will die next. 'Scream' is a play on convention, but it has fun surprising viewers with its predictability. across the board.
