About this deal

Sarah Harding, singer who ruled the charts with Girls Aloud – obituary". The Daily Telegraph. 5 September 2021. Archived from the original on 11 January 2022. After three years of hiatus, Girls Aloud reunited in 2012 to celebrate their tenth anniversary together. The group released the single " Something New" in November, with proceeds being donated to Children in Need. [30] Their second greatest hits anthology Ten was released on 26 November 2012, followed by the single " Beautiful Cause You Love Me". [30] In 2013, the group embarked on Ten: The Hits Tour. Shortly after the tour, the group announced their split. [31] Sarah Harding's mum says her daughter's final wish was to be remembered not for her terrible disease but just as she was. Beaumont-Thomas, Ben (5 September 2021). "Sarah Harding, singer with Girls Aloud, dies aged 39 from breast cancer". The Guardian . Retrieved 5 September 2021. I wish Sarah the absolute best in her battle and the way she opens up around her diagnosis and cancer treatment is inspiring. She is a ball of energy and her voice is absolutely evident in this bio, something that I find a lot of other celeb autobiographies struggle with.

Sarah and Girls Aloud marked my life, even me being in Mexico and having to wait some time to get their albums when released, anyway internet has been a good friend. But what I got from this was how brave and strong Sarah was. I never realised how insecure she was. I can relate to her problems with alcohol and I like that she made a point of saying people who go through rehab to better themselves should be treated with respect, instead of being made to feel like they're weak for having an addiction. Stewart, Alice (31 August 2012). "Girls Aloud Sarah Harding after rehab: 'I never said I'd be teetotal' ". Digital Spy . Retrieved 14 November 2012.

In 2002, Harding auditioned for the reality television show Popstars: The Rivals. [11] The programme, the second British series of the international Popstars franchise, would see the creation of two rival groups – a boy band and a girl group each consisting of five members, which would then compete against each other for the 2002 Christmas Number One spot on the UK Singles Chart. Several thousand applicants attended auditions across the UK in hope of being selected. Ten girls and ten boys were chosen as finalists by judges Pete Waterman, Louis Walsh and Geri Halliwell. These finalists then took to the stage participating in weekly Saturday night live performances (alternating weekly between the girls and boys). Each week the contestant polling the fewest phone votes was eliminated, until the final line-ups of the groups emerged. Harding joined Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Tweedy, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh to comprise the new girl group Girls Aloud, formed through the show by a public vote on 30 November 2002. [1]

Especially this last year since her diagnosis, as hard as the year has been, our new memories are strong in my heart. Roberts shared a series of photos of them together during Girls Aloud's early years and wrote: "I'm absolutely devastated and I can't accept that this day has come. My heart is aching and all day everything we went through together has raced round my mind. They also achieved seven certified albums and have been nominated for five Brit Awards, winning the 2009 Best Single for "The Promise". [16]
