About this deal

There are 3 White LED light indicators that show the capacity of the power bank and when they’re on, the power bank looks even more aesthetic. The size of your power bank depends on your specific charging needs. For everyday electronics like smartphones, earbuds, or similar devices, a power bank with a capacity of around 10,000mAh might be perfect. However, if you plan to charge larger devices such as laptops or tablets, it's best to go for a power bank with a capacity of 20,000mAh or higher. With the 5,000mAh capacity, you no longer just get 1 charge for your smartphone, rather the PowerCore 5000 is capable of charging most smartphones 2 times or over. If you’re using a wall charger that has an Output of 5V/1A, then the power bank will recharge at that speed. This is whywe recommend using a wall charger that has an Output of 5V/2.4A to ensure that you’re getting the fastest recharge speed to your power bank.

PowerCore 5000 - Anker Europe

The build of the power bank is outstanding with a hard plastic shell and charging components that provide a trustworthy user experience. The USB port is powered off while charging. It is therefore not possible to charge another device at the same time, thus no pass through charging. A portable power bank charger is a simple way to top up your gadgets on the go. Find out what key features to look for, along with some of the best cheap power banks we’ve tested.

Top up your phone when you’re out and about

The PowerCore 5000 power bank holds a strong grip that won’t easily slip from your hand, and it’s a great design choice for a power bank that is meant to be held in the hands most of the time. For example, if you’re out playing Pokemon GO, then this power bank is ideal. mAh stands for milliampère/hour and indicates the power of a battery. A battery of for example 2000mAh will supply 2000 milliampère per hour and is able to run a radio that uses 250mA per hour for 8 hours. A battery with a higher mAh will have a longer runtime. Put it all together and the PowerCore 5000 Mini power bank takes the small portable charging category to another level of reliability that other charging companies should follow. Qi charging on power banks makes me kinda nervous tbh, the power bank and the devices themselves tend to warm up when charging, and Qi adds even more heat, and you're then sandwiching it all together...

High Capacity: Contains 5000 mAh of power. Enough to provide over an entire replacement charge for iPhone X and Samsung Galaxy S9, or almost 2 charges for iPhone 8.Once it is on your iPhone 12, the magnetic hold is fairly strong and requires a bit of force to take off. Hold charge well, enough for a full charge on most phones except larger devices with high capacity batteries but it will get you to around 80-90%. The PowerCore builds upon what a power bank should have pertaining to its power. The Mini power bank brings a 5,000mAh capacity to the table.

Anker PowerCore 5000 Review | Tested by GearLab

The PowerCore 5000 has the standard safety tech features that prevent the power bank from heating up and causing damage to itself and to the device you’re charging. Taking into account the above comment on watt hours vs mAh, it would be good to have a column in the table "allowed on flights Y/N"... that's probably they key point here... The PowerCore 5000 fits into the Mini power bank category but takes the quality just a little further. With that said, the slit where the power bank is connected doesn’t even have a place where you can put your nails through. When there isn’t a device connected to the PowerCore, it automatically turns off in about 5 seconds.

fz750 thanks for the link. This again shows that specs from the manufacturers marketing department, are more or less just polished figures on a ”paper”. You are limited to 5W wireless charging output, so don't expect super-fast charging. But it's a good way to top off. Size and weight is good and it is made of material that doesn't get scratched easily which is a plus! Read the Instructions: Take a few minutes to read the user manual that comes with your power bank. Familiarize yourself with its features, usage instructions, and safety precautions. This will help you make the most of your new gadget while keeping yourself and your devices safe. There is an example on the blog mentioned above how to calculate & it gives a figure of 52Wh for another Anker 10,000 mAh powerbank.
