It smells quite sweet on opening, but tastes pleasantly like salted caramel. It has a chocolate coating and chewy inside with the consistency of nougat.

Advice to management is to make the product a little less sweet. One of the historical problems with protein-based bars and one of the stigmas attached to them is that they don’t taste great, they’re heavy and hard to chew.These bars are just brilliant. Use them for post work out. The variety box has great selection of flavours. Sports nutritionist Tom Clifford agrees: “Processed protein doesn’t necessarily mean low quality. Whey protein, which is derived from milk, is a very high quality source of protein even though it’s processed.” Plant-based protein sources commonly used in bars include soy, rice and pea protein. Not a complaint though- will buy again!
