Horizontal stripes when watching online videos using Microsoft Movies and TV app, Microsoft Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge. When available, closed caption (subtitles) language settings can be chosen using the Settings or CC icon on this video player. Before you begin, see the documentation of your computer and your monitor to determine what video connections they have in common, such as VGA, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort or DisplayPort (DP) ( Figure 1), and whether your monitor supports DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (MST).

NOTE #1: A repair manual and a smoke machine may be required to diagnose code P2421 accurately. Vacuum leaks are sometimes all but invisible, which makes a smoke machine a useful tool with which to pinpoint small leaks in the vacuum system. However, testing an EVAP system with smoke is best done with the vehicle on a hoist to make inspecting fuel and vacuum lines easier.Change the video input source on the TV to match the video source connection from the personal computer (HDMI, VGA (may also be mentioned as personal computer), DVI so forth)

NOTE: Figures 5 and 6 are an example of how the video cables should be arranged just match the type of connections from the computer to the monitors. Note that on some applications, a dedicated air pump is used to pressurize the EVAP system at set intervals as a means of detecting leaks in the system. In these designs, compressed air takes the place of fuel vapors, but the principle remains the same- the system should contain the compressed air without any significant pressure drops occurring. Note that on these designs, failure of the pressure pump can also set code P2421. Dell P2421 does not support audio or sound using HDMI. Speakers or headphones must be connected using the audio connector on the computer. When you close and then reopen the lid on a laptop, the Connecting and Configuring Displays (CCD) feature in Windows automatically reverts the display mode to the last active selection. This behavior is by design in Microsoft Windows.NOTE: Dell P2421supports display over USB-C port with Alternate mode DP 1.4. Ensure that the USB-C port on your computer supports Alternate mode DP 1.2 or above. When monitor is connect to the computer using HDMI, the video or graphics card (GPU) controls the YCbCr setting Hard drive retention: Hard drive retention is not available on models with a soldered hard drive, including XPS 9315 2in1, Chromebooks or Venue tablets, except the Venue 11 Pro.

Certain TVs may require you to set the TV as the primary display. Change the video settings in Windows and restart the computer. If not, you can fix grey on GPU. There is a "visual" appoach in OS apps. There is a more "objective" approach buying a colorimeter. Beter avoid Spyders, get at least i1DisplayStudio or better, then remember to apply White LED (looks like a common sRGB monitor) colorimeter correction or measurements will be wrong.
