Received a sample of this today and it reminds me SO MUCH of my favourite perfume from Next, called Pure Happiness, which I believe is now discontinued. Lovely creamy citrus and warm flowers, uplifting and soft at the same time. Really pleasantly surprised by this!

Although intense at the beginning, Olympéa Eau de Parfum is not overpowering at all. Perfectly balanced it has a subtle, moderate sillage. Lasting good 5-6 hours, Olympéa Eau de Parfum is suitable for any time of year and is good for either day or evening wear. Olympéa Aqua Eau de Parfum by Paco Rabanne is a seductive scent of radiant femininity. Blended by well-known noses Fanny Bal, Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion and Loc Dong, the perfume first saw daylight in early 2016. I don't notice the projection when I wear it but I catch whiffs of beautiful summery smells for about 4/5 hours.If you’ve had the opportunity to try Jean Paul Gaultier Divine, Juliette Has a Gun Vanilla Vibes, Maison Margiela fragrances Beach Walk, & Mugler Alien Goddess - you will LOVE Olympea. Salted-vanilla soon arrives to soften the initial harsh edges. A sensual base of the warming cedarwood, earthy ambergris and musky aroma of white amber unite the fragrance add a sense of intrigue.

The orange peel, blossom and mandarin combo in the opening is bomb. It's a very fresh, juicy mix of orange & mandarin. You can really feel the peel notes coming through. Very summery. The most beautiful citrus-caramely opening that I have ever tried. I was so happy that I found my long awaited perfect sweet/citrus summer fragrance but my happiness lasted for max 1 minute after which it turned into a caramel bomb. If that opening lasted through the middle notes i would have been the happiest. Imagine you're walking on a beach in the evening with someone you shouldn't be with. You can smell the saltiness of the sea everywhere, your vanilla perfume, and thanks to the sea breeze, you can even faintly smell the jasmine perfume of your secret lover. And that is exactly how this perfume smells like. Like a secret fling, someone your parents don't approve of. Clean, like the sea, and a bit messy, like vanilla and a bit of dirty jasmine. The longevity of this is really good, I can smell it at least 12 hours on my skin. And I find that this is a strong perfume, it projects a lot so I have to spray mindfully when I wear this.The orange peel added the perfect freshness that is missing in almost all the tropical perfumes, that i find tooooo sweet and nauseating

This isn’t anything like the original olympea (which I adore), this is a very big let down to me. It’s a generic white floral beach scent - which again normally I love those sorta notes but in here it just falls flat!Surprisingly very ambery on my skin. Not strong at all, but maybe it’s me being partly noseblind. It’s my boyfriend’s favorite perfume on me ( he loves amber fragrances the most ) Olympéa Intense Eau de Parfum is a very potent, long-lasting fragrance. Comforting and warming it makes an ideal scent for colder autumn-winter months. The potent blend of spices and fruits create a heavy sillage and 6-8 hours of wear. I love & adore Olympea! She's one of my favorite designer fragrances. I know she can be somewhat controversial, so I would advise against blind buying if you aren't too familiar with salty vanillas. I can also see her not working with certain chemistries. This is definitely an interesting floral- the salty note and ambergris keep things interesting as you're left guessing what the notes may be, but the influence of vanilla in the dry down turns this jasmine floral sweet, almost gourmand, but not quite- that salty note and bit of ginger step in.
