About this deal

CMOS sensor, vibration reduction: lens shift (still images) and electronic (movies), SD card storage with SDHC and SDXC support, articulating screen The long zoom will need higher ISO to be used from time to time and the great news is that the L820 can handle it. Normally, we'd suggest alternative strategies to avoid raising the ISO, but it's ok here. COOLPIX 4300". Nikon Corporation. September 2, 2002. Archived from the original on April 4, 2012 . Retrieved 2011-08-26. The sensitivity range is 125 to 3200 ISO and the shutter speed range is, as before, 1/1500 to 1s and 4s in the Fireworks scene mode. The COOLPIX L820 has optical image stabilisation which Nikon calls Vibration reduction. This moves the lens elements to compensate for camera movement and reduce the chances of blurred photos due to camera shake at slow shutter speeds. Vibration reduction is activated from the Setup menu and in addition to the On and Off positions there’s a new third option called hybrid. This combines the optical stabilisation with in-camera post processing to digitally remove any blurring that remains. The digital correction is applied only under certain conditions, including when the shutter speed is slower than 1/30 at the wide angle setting or 1/250 at the telephoto focal length and when the sensitivity is 200 ISO or lower.

Flagship APS-C DX sized-sensor camera, 18.5mm lens (28mm equiv.), SD card storage, 1080p 30/25/24P video recording, WiFi Ready The L820 has Nikon's new menu layout, which is easy to navigate. Nearly everything is set through the menu button. The 3 inch screen is bright and clear and has a respectable 921k dot resolution. COOLPIX 5600/4600". Nikon Corporation. February 16, 2005. Ease of Use

Uses AA batteries, CCD sensor, sensor-based and electronic Vibration Reduction, up to 6,400 ISO, 720p video recording with stereo sound, SD card storage The L820 has a night shot mode in the scenes menu. It's recognised by a picture of a building with a moon over it. Choosing this option will flag up two settings: Hand-held and Tripod. Which option you choose will determine how the camera handles the scene. If you choose the Hand-held mode, it will choose a faster shutter speed and high ISO to obviate camera shake. Choosing the Tripod setting will select a slower shutter speed with a low ISO to get smooth picture results. With the strong orange street lights, the white-balance didn't quite manage to get it right, but it's not far off. In auto mode, we got to select a low ISO manually and we also got to change the white-balance. We used the preset manual setting and got a more aesthetically balanced colour, although it wasn't true to the actual scene. COOLPIX S3". Nikon Corporation. September 1, 2005.
