About this deal

Chalked full of every single macho-man cliche, creature destruction, overly descriptive sex, violence, and pulp like writing, Killer Crabs was basically everything I was looking for in a book to fuel my (immature) masculinity and to add to my Spooktober reading list.

The characters are all highly comical in their delivery, with widely exaggerated personalities and clichéd roles within the storyline. The input of the character of Caroline du Brunner in particular is outlandishly amusing, but adds such a perfect injection of lust fuelled sex to thrill any pulp horror enthusiast. But some characters are killed by humans, reminding me (the reader) that humans are sometimes the worst killer crabs of all. I’m more than glad I let you come with me tonight,” he whispered as he zipped himself up again. “I’m afraid, though, that we must still keep an eye open for those crabs!” While in no way great literature, there is no surprise whatsoever that the book and author has a real cult following.

One's the moon. The other is a woman." He banged a piece of crab with a small hammer. "This feller here is controlled by the moon phases. Somehow I don't think that's friend Klin's trouble."

Now the killer crabs have resurfaced, nearly 10,000 miles away from the Welsh coast in Australia. A couple of shark spotters and a loaner named Klin, whose origins are as mysterious as the giant crabs, are the first to come across the enormous beasts. Knowing they are--no pun intended--out of their depth, they call on Professor Davenport, the heroic marine biologist from the first novel, who flies in to assist. Are we the real monsters? No, we are not. The monsters are the Giant Crabs that we created by testing nuclear bombs underwater for no good reason. Everything else was forgotten, the faked suicide, his new life. He was only too well aware that the life of Milton Hogarth was ending.

My father was a dedicated bank manager and I was destined for banking from birth. I accepted it but never found it very interesting. During the early years when I was working in Birmingham, I spent most of my lunch hours in the Birmingham gun quarter. I would have loved to have served an apprenticeship in the gun trade but my father would not hear of it. There!” Cliff had spotted another movement amongst the waves. “Something’s…Oh, my God! Just look at that one!” An all-out war ensues, with the monstrous crustaceans now swarming onto the helpless community of Shell Island. The military presence on Shell Island is almost completely annihilated by these seemingly indestructible freaks of nature.

Not only are these gigantic enemies of mankind colossal in size and naturally armoured to the teeth (not that they have them) by their huge shells, but they also display a surprising level of cunning and intelligence. Led by a (briefly glimpsed) ‘King Crab ’, these organised crustacean ranks pose a severe threat that certainly gets the juices flowing! The battle at Barmouth as the crabs army invades the seaside community is perhaps the very pinnacle of the novel. The death, destruction, and utter mayhem caused by the sudden invading crab army is quite frankly superb! Also, her legs tend to windmill when she orgasms. I teach sex ed classes, and I have only a vague image of what that could mean. I bet it could power a turbine. Book Genre: Adventure, Animals, British Literature, European Literature, Fiction, Folklore, Horror, Humor, Monsters, Novels, Pulp, Science Fiction There are indeed cattle-sized crabs afoot, hundreds in number, that emerge each night from an underwater cavern. There’s a military base nearby, but it does little to staunch the crabs, seeing as how they have apparently bullet-proof shells.
